We are Donga Girls, forever young professional dancers and performers from Moscow, Russia.
Our professional background covers such styles as dancehall, house and hip-hop, but where there main interest belongs to is different types of social African dance, such as azonto, coupe decale, kuduro, afrohouse, ndombolo etc. Despite being white, step by step we get recognized and accepted in Afro dance. We believe that African dance is not about skin color, but about enjoying African music and translating its African flavor and vibe through your body. We work hard on going deep into African culture and mentality, constantly learn and improve our skills with professional dancers of African background, and also enjoy ourselves experimenting with Afro feeling in other styles to put their dance on another level. One of our long term goals is to open Afro dance to Russian people that will definitely make the two cultures closer and more open to each other.
