This one was my absolute FAVORITE game! I was heartbroken when it was gone, because I'd always revisit it. The AG website is basically AG Amazon and nothing else at this point.
Makes me think of a time when AG has more to offer than overpriced modern dolls with no backstory and a ton of limited edition outfits and co that play into FOMO HARD.

I spent the entire night searching for a ds game i used to play on my dsi... i think i have been mixing different sea related games (i think i mixed this with my pet dolphin!) but seeing the gameplay i definitely had this one... the characters, the soundtrack and how to care for the animals are super familiar! I think i just didnt make it that far because i was too little haha
Man, I had this game in the back of mind for years. It was unexpectedly amazing, looking back now as an adult. I was obsessed with dolphins as a kid :)

i played this so much despite it scaring the shit out of me. i think it was being able to rotate the platform + already being exposed to spore? i always thought a fucking huge monster would grab me in the game but i still played it
I’m really enjoying this series of posts. I bought The Passage back when it first came out and still use it occasionally but it’s been awhile. I forgot a few things and your videos helped jog my memory. I play this game on an old HP laptop with windows 7. I hope your next post will include something about finding the bird pavilion. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the song is. However, most of the American Girl games use licensed music from De Wolfe Music Library, so the song is probably from there.

Sorry for the long pause between episodes! This game requires a lot of very fast and accurate mouse-movements, so my wrist usually hurts by the end... I'm aiming to get another episode posted by March 18 or earlier.

Kelsey! Finally I found someone who also loves this game and has posted about it recently. It is so hard to find information about this game online. I have spent several days trying to get the game running on Windows 7. 1] The first issue was the lack of activation code and no way to get one from the company. Like you I had to search around. I found a code written on a yellow sticky in a picture of the game that was for sell. And yes it worked for me too. Also it worked for my friend who has this game on a Mac. That's how I heard about the game. His hard drive on his old Mac died and he did not have the code written down. He wanted me to search the old drive to see if I could find it. But instead I found one as mentioned above. Works for Mac and PC. 2] Next I installed the Windows version from the 2003 game cdrom which included Quicktime ver 6. It kind of worked, but the movies/cut scenes were not playing. Then I found version 11.5 from 2010 online at the Internet Archive. Just Google "thepassage115" (and Google "thepassage11.5" [add period between 1 and 5] for Mac version - only works on old Macs 10.6 or earlier). Version 11.5 worked much better on Windows 7 and if I set the main program to "run as administrator" the movies started playing. Like the guy who explains about raising the red ball, and the guy who juggles the three balls. The 11.5 version included Quicktime ver 7_66_71_0. I let that install what it wanted and set file types, to make sure the game ran OK. 3] My BIG problem right now is I cannot load saved games which is making it very hard to move forward in the game. (I tried setting up a virtual windows XP install on top of my windows 7. It seemed like it was going to work until I got an error that the virtual XP install could not find the Lightstone USB device. I just could not fix that so I gave up and went back to Win 7.) [EDIT: I did find a workaround. The downloaded 11.5 install came with several saved games which all load perfectly. I found that if I move my player back to the main square where the cart with the roses is, and save my game there, then when I reopen the game, I just load the Saved Game file that came with the install, click the wand to move once, then hit Escape to the Menus, then click Load Game, and choose my saved game (which I named something else), and my saved game will load perfectly. As long as I save my game in the same area of the game mentioned above, I can load it fine after running the included Saved Game first. ] [ Edit 2: I set up a Reddit community where we can document everything about this game, etc. Just Google "reddit Journey To Wild Divine" ] I am totally amazed you got the game running on Win 10. I figured that would be impossible since I think I read that getting quicktime running on Win10 was hard, and Win 10 would not recognize the USB device. You have climbed Mount Everest in my eyes.
Hi! Sorry to have left your comment in limbo for a whole day. I'm glad to meet someone else who loves the early Wild Divine games. First of all, thank you for creating a subreddit for them! I will leave you a quick additional message there after I finish this comment. (I've also responded to you on Quotev, to let you know that this comment made it through.) Secondly, thank you for confirming that the code I found earlier also works on Mac computers. I have edited my pinned comments in the playlist's videos to reflect that. Third, about your technical difficulties: I'm unfortunately not much of a tech wizard, and the game working immediately on my Windows 10 was likely pure luck. However, regarding the save issue: The problem might be that when you installed the game, you didn't check the "Add File Associations" checkbox (if there was one). The saved games use a ".jwd" file extension, so perhaps your computer doesn't know what that file type is, meaning it can't load them properly. Just a guess, but it seems likely to me. I recommend uninstalling and then re-installing the game, and seeing if the file associations checkbox is there. If it is there, you select it, and you still can't load the saves after, or if there is no checkbox, let me know and I'll do some research. Also, the game works on my Windows XP computer just fine; I only installed it to my Windows 10 computer so I could record the gameplay for RU-vid. As such, the issue with the USB on XP probably has to do with the virtual machine. I can't really help you there, unfortunately, as I know next to nothing about virtual machines, but I would suggest making sure that the virtual computer has "permission" to connect with the physical computer's USB ports. Lastly, thank you for reaching out. I appreciate the extra info about Wild Divine being available on the Internet Archive. I never would have expected it to have been saved on there due to its obscurity, so this is great news in case I end up losing my installation CDs (again). EDIT: It seems as though Wisdom Quest (the sequel to "The Passage", which is the first Wild Divine game) is not archived on the Internet Archive. I think I still have the Wisdom Quest discs somewhere, so I might look into uploading them there, assuming the process isn't super technical. Oh yeah, and after I'm finished with my Let's Play of The Passage, I plan to play and record Wisdom Quest too. I also have a 3D Wild Divine game called "Return to the Sun Realm", and it's honestly not as much fun as the first two games, but I plan to play/record that one as well, eventually.

I'll aim to check out the .jwd stuff sometime this weekend, when time permits. Also, thank you for the compliment on my RU-vid recordings. If you're curious, I use Windows Game Bar (referred to on my Windows 10 as Xbox Game Bar), since I don't have the patience or money for the fancy recorders. It records in .mp4 files, which are lower-quality than some others, but with a 2003 game like Wild Divine, it doesn't matter. Also, I think I know why your comment is hidden on this video: When you said the 11.5 QuickTime's version number, RU-vid probably automatically assumed it was a link of some sort (since it's blue instead of black); so if you remove the blue text, the comment will likely show up properly.
kelsey, thank you so much for doing this series, awakening my childhood once more. i dont want to use the pirated versions of the games beacause imi afraid of viruses. this video was a subsitute for me instead of playing it and it made me as happy as if i was playing it

I'm using the 2-disc version of Zoo Tycoon 1 Complete Collection. The first disc is blue and the second is teal, if that helps. Also, what part isn't working for you? Does the debug menu not show up at all? Or does it crash, or is there some other issue?
@@KelseySkybox The debug menu didn't show up at all. But I managed to fix it by installing Zookini (A ZT Launcher) and modifying zoo.ini through it! I still have no idea why it wasn't working before, but I'm happy it does now lol. Thanks for your reply c:
