If you were there this year, he had literally driven 8+ hours roundtrip from Cincy to Cleveland that Friday to pick up the fresh vinyl LP's, probably sold out of them over the weekend. I got one, the production is almost as good as his songwriting and vocals.
I just found my youtube account with you on here. Been loving yiur musical talent since you were playing in the hall with your dulcimer. You are still awesome as ever!
Blown away by his songwriting and vocals at Nowhere Else these past two years. This song is the first track on the new LP and that's the best way to support this artist.
Joshua Thomas - What a light. I simply adore this guy and what he does. His heart shines through when he sings. His masterful covers of Joni Mitchell are incredible. I would love to see Joshua live someday. Thank you for keeping up the good work sir.
Damn…recorded seventeen years ago. Very haunting recording, especially with the acoustics in the room and where the mic is positioned. I loved every second of it.
I never thought about this, because I've idolized Joni's work since 1969, and I've always considered it to be universal. But when I hear you sing this and Brandi Carlisle sing it, I hear a dimension that was missing - a queerness. Like that line "I feel your leg under the table. " That’s something that Gay people had tobdo well into the 1990s. For us, it was 1957 for another 40 years. I'd love to hear you, Brandi, Rufus, Holly, Cris, Mary Watkins, and a few other Queer folks do some of Joni's work
Good potential. One suggestion: when you say the word "smile", consider smiling. Maybe in a few other spots too. Reflect that it’s a mellow, relaxed song.
Please please, please could you write down the notation for this song that you’re playing it is absolutely beautiful and I really really really want to learn and play it. It speaks to me in so many ways the Bob Dylan version and the guitar, but the piano, there is just a little bit more, especially the way you play the music with those chords.$teve
Oh wow! What a blast from the last this was! I remember actually buying this in a backroom of a bootleg record store in the late nineties... How times have changed.😮🎉❤
What a beautiful rendition of this song. I still remember when I discovered this, my senior year in high school (94). So many memories brought back listening to this just now. Thank you. 😊❤
