just bought one today, got it for $450 with trailer. 1 hour of going through it and i had it running, still gotta clean it out well hoping to be out on the water this week.
Interesting, so they gave it the balcony of the Flyer 9 and dropped one bench in favor or a proper wet bar. Good calls, I think. It's just weird that the grill and the sink are far apart now, doesn't make sense. I wonder if you can spec a sink in place of the live-well? Looking forward to this one coming to Europe as a Cap Camarat. A tip for future videos: give us a shot of the info board on the dock so we have the basic data and pricing.
I also thought it was a bit odd that the sink wasn't adjacent to the grill. I understand there's benefits to having the livewell (or cooler if you want to use it that way) where it is, but a sink makes more sense to me too. I actually do record the info boards for my own house keeping. I will look into adding them so that people are able to pause the video and read them. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@TheBoatDude I'm sure the anglers will appreciate that layout but I think the largest buyer group is French people, and they don't tend to fish on these, so yeah, strange layout. Thanks, looking forward to some US pricing info. I particularly wonder how much that deck carpet set is, we don't really see that here in Europe, people just spec their boats with real or artificial teak and are done with it.
Watch the video again. There's one semi-dry head for the guest staterooms/day head, and a fully dry head with a large shower stall for the owner's cabin.
Not quite true...The Gagliotta 38 Lobster, the bigger sister, actually made her US debut at the 2018 Newport Boat Show...We were the first US Dealer to represent the brand....
It does not appear they have any dealers in Europe. If you are interested, I could reach out to my contact at Ocean Alexander to see if they have anyone who could assist you. Just send me an email at myboatchannel@gmail.com if you want me to see what I can find out for you. Thanks!
The quality of Formula boats is second to none. I urge people to check them out in person to better understand that. It's things you need to touch and feel that make the difference clear.
You really have to work on not making sounds with your mouth. Especially watching with headphones, it is a pain to listen to those sounds. Here I'm watching without headphones and still the same annoyance. Please take it as a friendly advice and stop making sounds with your mouth. Thanks in advance.
I appreciate the input. It's definitely something I do subconsciously, and it gets amplified sometimes based on the positioning of my microphone. I will work at both those things next month at FLIBS.
Whyyyy do Americans never spec their boats with teak flooring?! Looks and feels so much cheaper without it, looks so much worse when dirty, you see every speck. Spending $400k+, there's surely a few more grand to lay down some wood. What is wrong with you people?
That's actually a great question that I don't have a definitive answer for. I would think some of it has to do with the upkeep required to keep teak looking good.
@@TheBoatDude Fair point, but there's a dozen brands making artifical teak here in Europe now, looks almost the same, is softer underfoot, and doesn't fade. Maybe do a video on general pros and cons and which options are available in the US?
@@TheUrbanEpicure it turns out they do offer an interior package with what they are calling "beechwood." I will do some asking around at the show this year to figure out what exactly that means. No idea if it's literally beechwood, just their name for a teak look-a-like product, or what have you. But, I'm curious now!
@@TheBoatDude If it's for the interior, I think it's just one of the woods you can choose from for all the interior walls, cabinets, etc. I'd be surprised if they didn't offer real and artifical teak as options for the exterior areas as well. Anyway, do look into it and maybe make a video on it, I'm sure it'd get a fair amount of views, this topic seems to fly under the radar for Americans.
Bravo for Schaefer doing an OB option for this boat! I've massively turned off by legs and pods given the up-keep and maintenance on those things! trip 300's, man this would fly. I know the d4 300's get about 32 knots, so this thing must be near 50kts!
Hey Boat Dude, you seem like a very nice young man, and I enjoyed this video, I would, however, like to offer some constructive criticism. I'm sure the vast majority of us watching your videos could never gain the type of access to these boats that you have, so maybe you could invest some time in learning more about these boats, such as what are the main pieces of equipment in the engine room (water makers, horsepower, fuel consumption, the range of the boat, etc.), and the interiors, (what type of materials.. marble, granite, onyx, what types of wood they use), is the furniture fixed or free-standing, the hot tub holds how many people, etc. I felt embarrassed for you walking around the engine room and hearing you say "I don't know what most of this stuff is." It's not really complicated, it would just take a little time and effort on your part, but I promise you, you will then be making much better videos and growing your channel.
I appreciate your feedback! I've learned quite a bit since I made this video, and I'm always trying to learn more. I'm going to try to find a way to have a yacht engineer walk me through everything in the engine room on a sizeable boat this year at FLIBS so I can really get to know all the systems and components in the engine rooms.
@@TheBoatDude There you go, that will help a lot. I'm really glad you took that comment in the spirit in which I intended, as just some friendly advise. I will subscribe now. Cheers, keep up the good work.
I was just wondering to see where is the oil cap of this Seadoo? I’m try to out more oil in it but I can find it. I have the same model and same color just like yours.
