This channel - comprised mostly of playlists from some of my favorite Disco Biscuits shows, as well as requested shows from subscribers, and a few related and completely unrelated, random uploads - is intended for fans of The Disco Biscuits who are currently unable to afford a subscription to Nugs for any reason, but do not want to be excluded. So it primarily exists to give access to playlists of quality recordings of The Disco Biscuits to those who otherwise wouldn't be able to hear them because they have found themselves in turbulent times financially.
I've never spammed my channel, i've never asked anyone to subscribe, and i have not, nor will i ever turn on monetization and/or place ads here: as a result, i have never made a dime from this YT channel. What i do here is purely for the love of the music that The Disco Biscuits create, and the pure love of archiving it that music.
Not the coolest venue steep mountain and nasty red clay all over everything but talk about a lineup geez Louise this one was it Brazilian girls younger brother and the Biscuits went straight ham as per the Camp Bisco Usual _ then onto ilcc for 5 more in a row... see ya
@BootsORiley yeah same started at Skyetop for Sammy's last bisco then hunter then Mariaville which is 30 mins from Voorheesville where I've lived my whole life what a beautiful time man Bisco in yer 20s with stacks and a tight crew
@@gregorygriffin1226 btw, when i left that comment, it wasn't like, "i'm some cool guy because i went to 5 events". it was more like, "wow, i really went to 5 out of the 5 ILCCs...!" i live in Kentucky, and it's like a 12 hour drive to upstate NY. I feel like i really earned every single one of those Biscos.
Thanks buddy. Fun show. Long jams. New tunes and old songs are meshing. You asked me one time before what I thought about the new sound, or how they sounded less frantic in ways, or it’s like almost a retro return to old biscuits, but reborn and fresh again and I think that comes from barber because he carries so much energy and charisma And he can make a show or a year or tour that much better. His vocals have gotten more on point with the lyrics and the singing style. In my opinion he’s just tightened up all around his playing has been more direct and consistent with the old leadership and intentional approach and control of the jams and not just playing the role rather the leads have more power and smoothness in direction and less frantic with the rest of the players, not so in between either sides of his abilities for aggressiveness or in a sometimes passive lazy follower style and roll. He has mvp for the 23-24 years. I also think They’re settling more into jams, and not aborting to the dance drops so quickly and keeping the music flowing and pushing to rise and fall and building the tension and release that is what takes me personally to ecstasy and moves the whole crowd into one big dance off and party as everyone is in step and in the moment as band and crowd all know that it’s going down and everyone is in the same special place and celebrating the levels that we are all collectively experiencing in blissful harmony. They just seem to be so happy and comfortable and that translates into the music evolving and the already patient feeling that’s the biscuits display in letting the music play and unfold is so beautiful and natural feeling. It’s like they can play fast like they used to as the drums are tightened and evolved to fit in and changed overtime broadening the sound and landscapes of the old and new songs to be more than just the untz untz repeat and adding more depths of rhythmic beats to inspire new and less repetitive rigidness to a more flexible backbone and spaces to explore and create new musical elements on top of the beats that have been in place as the new songs have been added in and they are already vehicles for jamming and the crowd is not losing illation like many bands and older new songs that are treated with the energy drop to inquisitively judging the “new songs” and then slowly revolutionizing into classic songs or dropping off the list. All these new songs just came in well oiled and ready to takeoff and not feel like OK they’re still learning this it’s like they’ve already learned it and expanded on it and all of them automatically became Bisco worthy. I just appreciate the boys and their drive to keep getting better and evolve Which reaches new ears, and fans that may not have liked them or not given them a chance and now they can go to the show and be like damn these boys are nasty but they are good! I don’t know man I love them as people and I love them as musicians and I’m just glad that we got them because they bring the edge. They don’t sound like fish or other jam, bands tinkering around or goose blowing up in their own way that is so much more like a jam band that is a lot more like phish in terms of showing too much influence of phish in their jams ,textures, lights , and songwriting. The biscuits are uniquely great and not kids or pretending to be another band to get a bigger audience and as a pocketbook version of phish for fans to grab onto bc familiarity is soothing for some. Sorry not sorry for A Long winded speed infused soap box rant of music nerd speak and appreciative indulgence of my opinions and viewpoints possibly as only mindless dribble . So.i will be Summing it all up with B4L. > Hometeam
@@Spacebird321 surely it’s bound to happen eventually. Hern could use a bit more experience with the catalog and bigger, high profile shows. The last show I saw, he had strongest and spinners going at random after end of basis to end the set - for several seconds - before he manned the autopilot and stopped the light show. Not hating on the kid, I’m proud of the Indiana boy. But continuing to build some experienced will do some good in the meantime
@@archiebeasley6295 no sir. I pretty much only archive their soundboard recordings. This - like everything else you’ll see on this channel from ‘24 - is a soundboard recording
this shit right here makes me feel so fugging fine, like it's all going to work out and be beautiful, like it doesn't matter i'm turning back into dust. good stuff. Boots your the miracle worker brother, many thanks
@@jacobp7006 I only listened once, 4 days ago, but I seem to remember the intro and the first couple of verses just not sounding right to me. Not a heavy hitting, crisp version of the composition
This song is so fucking good. The Magner harmony in the chorus is the best I've ever heard, it almost sounds at first like Barbers using a vocal effect. I can't thank you enough for these uploads, Boots.
