Both loyal to one another in life and after life.No wonder they had such a outstanding magnetic friendship, Never quarreled or run each other down, Today married actors, singers, celebrities, personalities etc, etc, etc...,.. can't last 5 minutes. The live ghost, always crack me up.
The first time I saw "The Music Box" and saw the shot of those stairs I howled with laughter before anything had started. I knew it was going to be hilarious.
Nice to hear From the producers and Stan's daughter and the introduction of sound... The skeleton script and the 2 executed those dialogues and the sense of timing once the sets were on... The respect and concern they had for each other... Oh.. There's so much to be said. .imagine making such simple comedy with brilliant acting in such tough circumstances..it certainly gave a depth of hard it was to make some Comedy out of nothing.. But except these 2 bloks.. They just were gifted beyond anything...
Hardy looked exactly like my dad and a very productive man..He was very handsome in his church suits and in his band uniform. Dad was in several of multiple bands. He payed with Lawrence Welk one time when The band was in Cedar Rapids,Iowa the The Legion Bowling Alley. Dad didn t want us to meet him as he didn t want us to act and sing on stage. We were talented like The King Family o T V. Why?
Don t dilly dally! We were left home and never was privileged to go on vacation. We were to be seen and not heard! We were expected to be within. Whistling distance when dad came home from work.More like after he.had a couple 3 beers at the bar. .
It's too much to be said. All I can say is. Such a great Show... Fabulous Two.. None can replace them 2.''..its sad they belonged to an Era. 'this present shit heads will never understand.. 'old is Gold..
The opinion about their last movie is out of question. Shame on you Our beloved Stan and Oliver will be in our hearts whatever age they were! Whatever age we are or were.
I found it sad when I found out Stan was renting an 80 dollar a month apartment in his later days having worked so hard to please people for decades they would have been super wealthy these days..Shame the film company’s didn’t share the wealth from the films they made..Even in the 50 and 60s there shows were top of the bill for popularity and they never got a dime from the re runs….
One of Stan's hobbies as he got older was writing things for the both of them. He still did that up to his last days. Stan loved and missed his friend so much.
I've watched these guys over and over again, including Atoll K. I don't mind that they had aged because I am so addicted to their content and seeing their faces together that I just have to watch everything they made.
For the 35 years I've been able to remember on this planet, this pair has had my unwavering adoration. Friends in good times, rocks in bad times, I'll love them until the day I leave this life.
That was great. In the late 40s we went to day camp. Every afternoon there was a rest period, which usually was watching a Laurel and Hardy comedy. Lots of laughter from a bunch of kids. Now, they're still funny. They haven't changed, but our sense of humor, as adults, matured watching them. Thats why they are ageless.
What about that meat tobe dragged from the lion in the zoo Stan go go go Look straight into the eyes It will be afraid of you.Go go I have read many books Oli do lion read books?
