Hi! My name is Rachel Waldorf, I’m a lifestyle and entertainment content creator bringing you all things that Seattle has to offer. If you are traveling or possibly moving here I’ve got your back. We have more than just the Seahawks and Space Needle here - crazy I know. We’ve got a great fashion, music, restaurants, shops and even great Airbnb’s. I LOVE a good Airbnb.
Find something you love and post about it! As someone whos finally taking a risk and doing what I enjoy. Cut out the outside noise and the self doubt, be confident and do whatever it is makes you happy. I wasted so many yrs of being afraid of being seen. But its not worth the regret. Time flies girl..stop overthinking and just do your best
I miss you on RU-vid! We love your content! You’re freakin amazing and you got this! Remember where you started! A driving moving vlog to Seattle! You’ve come so far and have gained so many supporters and viewers! ❤
Rachel, I started following you back in 2017 because I was thinking of moving to Seattle. I’ve lived in like 5 other cities since then and NOW I AM making the move to Seattle. Still following you. Keep doing what you are doing. You’re great!
Forget about the what if's. If it's not posted, the universe can't manifest something good or great from nothing. None of us would be here without you. Just know you matter Rachel.
If you feel a spark of inspiration, just go for it, Rachel! the views, audience, finding your niche, more great ideas, etc. - all of that stuff will come. This video was witty and so nice to watch :) Happy to see it in my subscription feed.
Hello Rachel from kara in FLAT boring Saint Paul Minnesota. Im moving out there in September! and Im enthralled listening to you! im getting pump psyched to be out therre! Kara
California cost of living without California weather, and encampments all over the city. I live here now, but I'm getting ready to retire, and then I'm outta here.
It’s interesting to see how the opinions really depend on perspective. Seattle is far more diverse than most places in the US. To me alcohol playing a much smaller role in the western US than in the midwest) and not being open super late) is a healthy thing and I for one am glad. Authentic ethnic food? Are you kidding me? You must not be looking. People in Tukwila, kent & all that are super friendly. Not so much in Issaquah but some folks will chat if you get them going.
Do you feel like you need to be fully clothed to get a good sweat going? I'm concerned it won't get hot enough for me. Also, are your feet to the bottom? I'm tall and wondering if it's really long enough.
Thanks for this... I've been in the Midwest for nearly 6 months after losing family and friends (and I don't understand the concept of friendship anymore, or maybe I always did, but I am used to going it alone and am fine with that) and have been looking at Seattle for a while now. Among the lights on RU-vid which I would find, you were among them, and I always wanted to chime in but was never able to. Anyway, this was the first one I watched, and I have to thank you, as I hope to be living in Seattle long-term before the next winter hits here. I'm outside Omaha, across the border, knew only one person out there, and then found out I didn't really. Thanks for all of this, and maybe I will chime in on some of the others here when I am able.
The thing about the "Seattle Freeze" .. I'm from So Cal so what she's describing is something I'm used to. But where I'm from in SoCal is actually known to be a very open and friendly place (if you travel there you'll likely experience very outgoing and welcoming people) in comparison to where I later moved to: Phoenix AZ. When my husband and I had to relocate there for his work, we were told about the "Phoenix Freeze" - yet we made life-long friendships there that we will always cherish. And these friends became like family to us. So don't let the "Seattle Freeze" scare you off if you're considering moving to Seattle. You'll find your people eventually, no matter where you end up.
What you said about trying to justify living there when you’re spending so much money trying to stay there after working so hard to get there, and getting no reciprocation was just a gut punch to me. That is Exactly where I am and I’ve lived here 6 years. It really helps to know others have had this experience here. Its a hard place
