A video channel of (mostly) furniture assembly (IKEA products), home appliance unboxings and baby product reviews. I also occasionally share vlogs and advice.
I have an international family. I'm an American living in Hong Kong, who had a baby in Japan in 2016 with my Japanese wife. We welcomed our daughter into the world in 2019 too.

We bought the besta cabinet with the 2 doors. Easy to assemble , looks great BUT wobbly, no side metal screws bolts light in the kallux version. Will be going to ikea with a video of ours to ask how to sturdy it up
Thank you for your video . We assembled the whole shelf but we’re struggling with the fixing of the crossbar in the absence of wholes and clear instructions (our purchase was from Cainz Japan ) your video told us exactly what was needed to be done . Thank you 🙏🏽
this review helped a lot! WAnt to get a new more spaceous desk for my son and i was in doubt about the legs because of my floor that are wood like so, now i know the legs are adjustable!!! AWESOME! btw in greece this combination is 40euros!
When finished, you clean it up and put it away, don’t have to worry about gasoline going bad( turning to varnish). I just bought 2 pack of chain replacement for 10 dollars, can’t do much better than that. Removed 2 stumps, about 12 in across each, saved myself about $150 or more by doing it myself. Used 1 new chain = $5.😊
I bought Avent but got disappointed. It's leaking from the cover, after covering it, u cant bend it to feed baby and remove it again, It keeps soaking my baby's dress. Note:not the silicone teat
Your moniker fits you. The one thing I wanted and needed to watch you do. You didn’t record it. Kind of absentminded on your storyboarding your video instruction. What! You didn’t storyboard it? Well it shows. You incessantly talk unnecessarily ad nausea. Ugh!
I'm looking at this as sort of a floor desk organizer situation. Weirdly I see some things on Ikea say max load is 35 lb and others say 110lbs... How sturdy would you say it is? Also do you think a standard plug/cord could fit underneath? Thank you!
Thank you! Your video showed me that I just bought a used Newborn Pack that must be the/original version. It's impossible! The main buckle is different and not round. Once latched, it takes great difficulty to unlatch it. I can see why they changed it...and then again as I found another video with a different center latch that's round, but even larger! And there are 2 zippers on my winter cover that are also difficult. The time it would take to buckle an infant in would be ridiculous. So I'm out the money spent on a worthless old version. Had I only known....Live. learn. But your video is super! I'll use it when I buy a brand new one from a store!
@@CluelessDad There are 2 boards in the bottom part of the Newborn Pack. I removed them to wash all the fabrics but not 100% sure I've reinstalled them correctly. One is solid and the other has a 2-piece attached floopy end. Hard to explain but I'm wondering if yours has the 2 boards (they go in via velcro pouches at either end. I think the board with the floppy end goes into the bottom part of the Pack (opposite the canopy end). Tks if you can take a gander.
I recommend using zipties or a clamp to hold them together top to bottom, the plastic clips are really only good for holding two of them side by side. (in my case I put some thick zipties to hold them together top and bottom).
its not sold as a separate product I believe. It also doesn't have a part number listed in the assembly instructions PDF, so I think you'd have to talk to someone at an IKEA store or online customer service to order just that part.
Hey clueless dad, I'm very embarressed to ask but the holes seem so small that I dont get them completely (just half) in with the screwdriver. Can you give me a hint?
Worse case you can try grabbing the screw head with pliers while keeping it straight with a screwdriver pressing down and turning it with the pliers. Or better yet get a replacement screw that is the same size and length but has a hex head that you can use a wrench to turn when it gets tough.
I used a Ryobi drill/driver set at torque setting 8 for EVERY screw on the Pax wardrobes, Malm drawer cupboards as well as a Songesand kingsize bed and believe me, it saves a lot of time and effort. No tear out at all but just to make sure, I tightened up one screw by hand then increased the torque settings gradually on my Ryobi until it gripped the screw. Then used that torque setting of 8 for everything.
Hello, since you have assembled JOSTEIN and Platsa from IKEA... My question is which is better for a plant shelf? Are both individually adjustable? With the JOSTEIN I would have an extra shelf. Is that possible? I didn't quite understand it in your video. Sorry for my English. Thank you very much Linda
I am already using the same desk and searching for the new chair. You were said that you are using Renberget chairs for a long while. Does the chair fit well to the desk, i mean is the desk high enough?
has anyone had issues with the brackets not lining up while building the shelves? i’ve been at this for two hours and i can’t get the long brackets to go in without bending the metal.
