i remember seeing phillip in little voice and found him absolutely delightful. how cool to that the first show he was in was the wiz and his broadway debut is the same show! hope he gets to work with joy woods!
i love that he was involved since the beginning and that a lot of this cast seems to have known each other and have loved working together for a while!
this must've been such an awesome experience for gaby, getting to do a show with people she loves and playing to her strengths! manifesting she gets to do cats someday!
Seeing this in person at City Center a few days ago, I cannot express how brilliant this production. I saw the original, which has always remained one of the best scores and orchestrations ever written.

She’s amazing! She went to Carnagie Melon which is one of the best schools for musical theatre. She basically sounds like a Disney princess. She’s well suited for Broadway
@@kittykatsanchezRespectfully, I disagree. Her tone sounds really pretty and her vocal control is good… she doesn’t need powerhouse vocals if her character isn’t needing to belt. A “strong voice” isn’t always universal or needed for every role in a play.
@@avec.ariette I agree she isn’t belting all the time in the original song ether, and I really like the softness she gives the character I think it fits so well, because she is a hungry girl who’s forced to be tough in Oder to eat I like the softness here because it shows that while she is strong it’s because she was forced to be
@ariemacherie from a technical point of view, yes her voice is weak. By far, the weakest voice I've ever heard in this role. I'm not saying it doesn't sound good, but the role does require stronger vocals than what she's giving because there are some parts that traditionally, have been belted
Okay so for the people who are responding to the people saying "This movie looks bad" with "STOP BEING MEAN IT"S A MUSICAL": You can't blame people for not knowing it's based on the musical it because the marketing team has done everything in their power to pretend this isn't a musical - NO songs from the show. NO mention at all of it being a musical in the title. Hardly any dance scenes or any indication of theater in the trailer. They are literally purposely making it look like a remake of the original movie and a terrible, Gen-z ifed version at that. I am so completely pissed off with the people in charge of this movie and I do not blame anyone saying it will be bad. I am a massive fan of the musical and I know the cast is great so I still have hope for us. But I do not blame anyone who thinks this movie will suck because they are marketing it horribly. Be mad at the people who made this garbage trailer. Not the og Mean Girls fans.
Now let's remake this with literally a single song from the show so people know it's supposed to be a filmed version of the musical and not a Mean Girls remake THANKS!
I dont like how everyone is acting like they're a side-character in the protagonist's life in the original everyone had their own lives.. and our main character was just sharing an existence in their universe but in this one.. they all look like they wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the main character's story.. yaaaaamin? this is also my biggest problem with video games.. good to know its leaking to movies too
It’s so frustrating that they won’t market this as what it is. Those of us who have seem the musical know how good it is, but those that don’t seem to not understand the reason for the remake. They already think it’s gonna be trash and don’t understand the point. I assure you the musical is in It’s own way epic!!
