"Level" just complicates the process. It's about getting the scope perpendicular to the bore centre. You can do the process upside down if you wish. Simply shim the gap between the receiver and the scope base. You need the top of the receiver and the scope base to be precisely parallel. But if both surfaces are not exactly true you are screwed before you start. Feel free to use the plumb bob method to check the setting, but good luck getting your rifle 100% perpendicular to match the plumb string, and that's assuming your scope will focus close enough to see the string clearly. But if you hunt, know your cartridge and estimate your hold over then just twist the scope until it look right, tighten the screws, adjust the focus to be perfectly clear immediately when shouldered and you are in business. Exactly perpendicular only matters when you are dialling elevation.
The reason the belt clip doesn’t go short enough for you is because you aren't wearing the rig correctly. Your firearm is hanging way down by your elbow. It should be tucked up into your armpit, as far up as you can get it without it being uncomfortable (it does take getting used to) or difficult to draw smoothly.
If you are not reloading yourself the 10mm is an expensive toy, the .40 ammo is more reliable available and cheaper, in a SHTF situation out of the two the .40 would be the most ideal pick, everyone has a 9mm, so ammo would be scarce too, all ammo would be at that point
Is it actually flatter? Show me a reduced alpha bill drill with the non comp and the comp. Otherwise you are not getting my money in the Biden Economy. Thanks!
Springfield sent guns out to a lot of smaller channels this time. All rave reviews and some sounding like a brochure like this one. I'll wait for people who don't blow smoke up my a$$.
One thing to take note with respect to the emissary is because of the square trigger guard it won't fit in a normal 1911 holster. Springfield is a great platform to build a 1911 on. Replace the MIM parts and there a fine gun. Wish Springfield would do a little better on their safety. Almost everyone I've bought feels like a sponge in the safe position. Of course its easy to fix but they should do better.
…. 15 inch pounds is Very Light.. Like very light lol.. I would bet you were above 15in lbs when you first snugged them up.. I am hoping this CT optic is a quality product.. I know real good ones aren’t cheap to buy, but Trijicon is hard to beat when it comes to a quality and robust optic that can withstand harsh and hostile environments… I would rather pay more now and not have any problems later, rather than think I’m getting a great deal and only have it break or fail later sometime at a point when I need it the most, cause that’s always the way cheap products reveal themselves lol…
Springfield offered OE what shooters are doing to their guns aftermarket anyway. I appreciate them for that & I’ll be purchasing as soon as I can find in stock. That said .. wish they would’ve offered one with a flush/crowned barrel
@@valdezrl that is what I did. I was able to find a full barrel slide assembly but probably paid $450-$500 for it. Not the most economical way but didn’t need more stuff around. Sent the purchased slide barrel to monsoon Tactical for Lucky seven. It is great. In retrospect, I should’ve just bought a barrel sent it with the original slide. Then you can swap out the Factory barrel if you don’t want a ported set up… will just have a window in the top of the slide. Think I purchased it around Black Friday when he had $50 off the lucky seven package.
I wish I had the same confidence in my 2020 waypoint 6.5 prc. My bolt scars the brass when cycled and after shooting there is brass shaving everywhere. And is not accurate. I would love to do this to mine but the barrel and action Chinese quality crap. The chamber machining job is horrible and the barrel looks like the rifling has broken through the super thin barrel that is hidden behind a hollow carbon fiber wrap. Save your money and by something better. You will thank me for it. For 3k that you will spend on the top model you can by a very good shooting good or double that and get an amazing shooting gun. That’s what I’m about to do once I sell this one.
part of me says that's sacrilegious to have a 1911 that's any other caliber than .45, with rails and red dots on them but, another part of me thinks its cool to mix the old with the new. I love my Garrison though.
So I have the xd service defense. 9mm 4” barrel. I have had so much trouble finding a level 3 holster for it. I was wondering if this would be able to use this for that gun. Please help me thanks.
