Rain in Kerry? .........."Ah shure it's just a soft day" The next trip the Ring of Beara in west Cork is becoming popular with bikers and unlike the Ring of Kerry - not many tour busses
Hi, thanks for you video. I’ve done that trip before. I’m very interested in the Tuono but I do 25000+ km a year including at least one two-week trip to the Alps or the Mediterranean. My riding buddies all ride GSs and I’m afraid that if I get the Tuono, I would have to stop far more often to fill up than they do. I see that one of your riding mates was on a GS, was it an issue on your trip? Kind regards
Yeah it was actually, my Aprilia Tuono is really amazing for trips to the Alps or where ever. But the bike is really thirsty. So every 150 till 170 km's it filling up time. The GS's can do more than 300 km's on a tank. So almost 2 times filling up for the Tuono and 1 fill up for the GS's. My verdict: amazing riding bike, also for big trips but unfortunately to thirsty ;-)
Thanks, yeah def can't wait till next year. TT is amazing and as long as I can I don't want to miss it. The covid years were hard (but already forgotten)!
The weather this year was amazing. Absolutely beautiful sunshine except, I think, for one morning. I envy you all. Fingers crossed I will be able to be there next year. 🍻
hopefully you will be there next year. If the conditions will be the same. Don't think so, this is a once in many years. But I'm always enjoying the TT, regardless of the weather.
Nice to see Mark, looking forward to the other episodes! Last week we booked for the TT Ilse of Man 2024. Finally! We will visit it for the first time and will stay next to Ballaugh Bridge.
I started in 2010 and you will never forget this first experience! You will love it for sure. Ballaugh Bridge is also a very nice (but busy) spot to watch. I think you're counting days already ;-)
Great video and good choice of music. Don’t worry what others say about it. The music is a reflection of you so go for it. I’m really looking forward to the 2023 videos. It’s been fantastic this year. Cheers!
Sorry for my late reaction. The Tuono is thirsty. 1 liter on 14 a 15 km's (1 liter on 10 miles) is pretty normal. You can do a bit better but that means: drive calm and no fast acceleration.
Thanks Mark for a great series of video's. I have been to the TT many times and enjoyed them all. Each time I still cannot believe how fast the racers ride. For those that have never been I would say you must go at least once but for me now an old man I prefer to book my bike on the Eurotunnel and ride the great roads of Europe. The cost of the Steam Packet I can pay for the tunnel and a couple of nights in an Ibis hotel. I can still get my TT thrill by paying for TT Plus. Stay safe out there. Ted.
Sorry mate, but the music was doing my head in. Too loud for the commentary. However. Good perspective on your TT and your enthusiasm was genuine and infectious.Cheers.
Fantastic video footage of the Simon Andrews Lap. You really captured the atmosphere of the TT event as more than just a race meeting. Hope this memorial lap continues for many years yet. Looking forward to TT 23.
What kind of pannier-system you have? The panniers are SW-Motech i think PRO BLAZE H. For the Tuono is no fixing system available from SW-Motech. Is this from another bike-system and modify?
Maybe the lap should be for all riders who have lost their lives at TT,nothing against Simon Andrew's,he was a great rider and a gentleman, just a thought 🤔
