Even I know adding elemental weaknesses to a game can easily ruin balance. Especially for fighting games and MOBAs.

CPU still did join some tournaments for Brawl and Smash 4, but he didn’t compete in much tournaments and retired before Ultimate

Can I ask something? And im sure you get this question constantly so sorry for asking it again... But this game looks genuinely awesome competitively! Except of course for MetaKnight... Is there any reason at all that the tournament managers didnt just ban metaknight like they would an unbalanced stage? Like MetaKnight as an extreme enough example that this would be totally justified, and it would have opened up SO much cool gameplay if it wasnt just the same exact hero every match..

Anyone know which glide would be the most useful in a match?

Everyday my friend laments the loss of gliding, he was a diehard Pit main back in the day of brawl.

wario also kind of ignores this "unspoken rule". Waft is only realistically available in the second or later stocks of any given game, if not paced super slowly. in this sense, he is quite the opposite of ZSS, where she is better at the start of a game, he is better near the end

If I recall correctly, you can actually trigger gliding by waggling the stick back and forward. This is a clearly worse way to do it but it does exist

Gliding was supposed to return in Ultimate because Charizard and Ridley's codes are identical (just copied and pasted) and they have their gliding codes but it got scrapped early, closest to gliding is Steve's up special (same gliding codes applies to the other gliders, like Pit and Meta Knight but also Dark Pit was supposed to glide)

This is hilarious to me, but the biggest reason being people going "This is the worst!" Because man, the Bayonetta mirror in finals (World's lamest Mexican standoff) and that one Smash 64 set that went on for actual hours are objectively worse
