Finally found information about burrows THANK YOU = one is under my cement slab but other's are just randomly along the edge of the manufactured house wood skerting SO they dig under the edging wood wall then come up through the vaper barrier plastic = how do i stop that ???? Once they are in the crawl space they have full access to everything = our whole neighborhood is infested & pest control companies are not doing Exclusion their just putting bate stations = everyone including pest companies are telling me I'm crazy trying to block off all entry points 😢 that's what adults did when i was a kid & some of my neighbor's are older then me SO maybe it's a country living thing not for city folk LMFAO but now even the mice & rat's have moved to town 😂 THANK YOU FOR KNOWING THE PUNCH LINE OF YOUR PROFESSION
Burows = they keep making a tunnel under my 20 x 20 cement slab then somehow get into the wall to come up the kitchen sink pipe hole = my kitchen sink is close to the middle so their tunnel is about 10 foot long = My Problem Is first how to block the entrance they just keep re-digging even taking 5 foot of still wool out ????? Second finding their path inside the floor = i can't find the hole at the end of the tunnel that's letting them into the house ???? Under my house stops at the edge of the cement slab ???? They can't be going through the middle of the solid cement ???? No signs of where the exit end into the house of that tunnel is ????
Yes that's the problem i have to remove 1600 square foot of insolation THEN spray & let dry enzyme eliminator THEN replace new insolation grrrrrrrrr rat's suck
Advion or max force ant gel bait, intice also makes a gel bait . Those three are great as well as opti-guard. All depends on the type of ant and season and location. Different species of ants prefer different baits. If the bait doesn't provide the food they need, they may continue searching. Weather such as temps and moisture such as heat, snow or rain can degrade liquid, gel and granular baits, depending. Main thing is sealing or treating entry ways with caulk or a residual dust. Cleaning and preventing them from finding food water and or shelter from your home
I appreciate this video so much. I am shocked that out of all the views, you do not have as many likes or subscribers.☹️ I'm not sure how the "system" of youtube works, but I liked and subscribed. 😊 I found it helpful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I felt that you were very genuine. ❤ and I loved the pink respirator. 😂
I once heard of a guy that used to arm those things and toss them in a bucket. Then would blindly reach for them when needed. They would go off on his hands.
Yep, I am in this situation. A squirrel(s) ate a hole into the wood soffit which is 20 feet up in the air, so I do not have a ladder that tall nor a scaffold. And when I tried to locate that hole inside the attic, the space gets so small as I get near it, because of the roof pitche, that it is too far to get to, not without me have to possibly crawl. The attic is starting to smell, there is feces & pine nuts everywhere. There is no flooring up there, so I am anxious of where to step, not without have to bring some long boards to step on as bridges across the ceiling joists. The insulation is the blown type so I would have to sweep around to find the joists to step on. And I think there are more than one squirrel & possibly also babies, idk. I really need to board up the hole but it is up high on the outside wall, on the soffit below a roof edge. I don't even know how they even gnawed a big hole. I could possibly upload a video/photo of the hole on my youtube channel. I suppose I could rent a long ladder, idk. It has possibly been over a year+ long since they got into there.
Excellent video, exactly what I need, thanks so much! BTW, at what point is it appropriate to seal off the vents if you're in the middle of trapping rats? I'm concerned that if I seal the vents I might be sealing some rats under the house as well, preventing their escape. Should I wait until I don't seem to be trapping any more rats, or should I seal them asap and just keep setting traps?
Hey Scott - we recommend setting traps and sealing all entrypoints at the same time. Sealing the entry points will greatly help with the trapping process and will prevent rats from continuing to get food/water outside and avoiding your baited traps. Just ensure that you have a few traps in the crawlspace to be able to catch multiple rats quickly (and check them regularly) and you'll be fine. - Gabe
Hi! We generally use either Loctite adhesive or liquid nails. Just about anything will work - but make sure it's thick enough to get a good bond so it doesn't move a bunch after you apply it.
Hi! The most important aspect of rodent control is always locating how they're getting into the home itself. Once that is located you can place traps around that area and seal it up. In an attic space you could set traps directly in the attic to catch anything, but make sure you figure out how they're getting in. Thanks! - Gabe
I work in pest control and we love using the old victor out o'sight mole traps, but the new ones like you show in this video are built so much cheaper than the old ones. The worst part is the spring is weak, you can easily open it by hand where the old ones you need the tool or Andre the Giant level hand strength to open it by hand. Do you actually have success using these newer models? We tried and they just don't seem to work as well, seems like many other people who review them say the same thing. Curious what your experience is and if you have any tricks, besides the one in this video, that help make these cheaper traps more effective.
Hey Mindy! Usually if the soil is too dense then you'll need to either supplement with another soil inside where the trap goes or break up the clay into smaller bits so the mole can easily dig through it. Clay is pretty terrible to trap in though...- Gabe with Pest Patrol
@@pestpatrol6499 i was hoping it was gone but last night i heard it running around. This is not a good situation for me , its been in the attic for a month now welp 😕 😅
