A channel with pure game walkthroughs without commentaries. Higher/maximum difficulty and/or additional challenges are employed for games that have such options, and where this either unlocks special rewards, or just looks better and more interesting in general. Please do note that I'm using Emulators and their Save features for most of the consoles - while I do own some of the consoles and sometimes play games on them, I almost always prefer playing on the Emulator when recording. This Channel is not about "mad skillz / no save states" gameplay, and I never claimed it ever was. I don't think broken gamepads and bad mental state are a good thing after thousands of retries from the beginning, for any single game, so I save myself from doing so where and when it's possible. I'm aiming to do playthroughs for ALL widely known consoles, as well as PC games.
Omg thanks for recording these! I know they're tiny in comparison to main quests or character quests,so WFS doesnt have a replay feature for them, but its still nice to just be able to re-view the convos from NPCs. Thanks for compiling these!!
To be fair, this is all just a "cashback" - there aren't really anything to playback here, because there no dialogues, only fights and tasks completion for monetary rewards and possibly new Equipment Sets. Still, I wanted to include this because it is a unique interactive content that can be completed in order. Now Cat Scratchbook, I still scratch my head about that one...))
Thank you for uploading this series onto your channel. Brave Frontier was seriously one of the best mobile games of all time, and I get immense nostalgia from watching these videos. Still can't believe it's gone.
The worst part is that Alim did not bother rolling out an Offline Patch near the game's ending days, so that everyone could appreciate the game post-online, just without Arena/Raids/Gacha. Shows they didn't care about their product in the long run. Some fans banded together and are now trying to reverse-engineer and re-create BF from scratch, just like I do with Digimon World 2. Their Project is called Brave Frontier Re-Coded, if you're interested you can google it.
Honestly I'm just excited for a female character to have proper pants in their design. Its been a long while since the last one! Impressive how fast you're getting them; thanks for this!!
Well technically both Cerrine AS and Daisy AS do have pants on them, so I guess it wasn't THAT long, but yeah, this kind of a character image is great for a change - they all are cute, but there are no elements that would even loosely work towards sexualization of the character. Well, maybe not on Cerrine, but in general anyway.))
Wow! Congratulations on getting her so soon! It's interesting Baobao isn't a sidekick of sorts, given the recent trend of units. I wonder if Lingli will have a role to play in the upcoming Eastern Mythos as well... Once again thank you for posting her story!
Yeah, I still remember, when I played it for the first time, going back and forth until I accidentally happened to enter the Leader Room 2 times in a row, which is the condition for joining the Guard Team. I'll definitely rectify that one, as well as some other weird moments.
@@MaskedLongplayer Nice. Another good thing to add to the game is the evolution tree and in which domain you can capture a Digimon. Sometimes npcs want a digimon, but you need to use a faq to find out where the digimon can be caught.

Ofcourse, when there IS anything to release, I will probably go with GameJolt and Itch.io, just like I did with Adventure Island 4 Plus. Not the source code though - this isn't a github/opensource project, it's my personal policy.
Yeah, I figured out it would really be hard to slap almost flat buttons on top of actual 3D geometry with very diverse vertical peaks, so arrow was almost a natural follow-up solution.
!!!Thanks for this! I love my old man units but man, with the Eastern Mythos coming in who knows when and a very high possibility of new Shigure or Shion forms...sorry Zilva. Lovely to finally have a conclusion to his story.
😄Congratulations on getting Zilva AS and thank you for recording his story! I was looking forward to this one since Zilva is one of my favorite characters, alas my pulls have not shown any good results. I hope I can get him at some point in the future though.
Thanks. I too really wanted to see the conclusion of his story, but I definitely was not prepared for it to get this dark and sad. Truly peak storytelling.
Haha Infinity Tower ain’t even the last boss or battle but nice video. I used to play this game with my PS when I was a kid and still have a copy of this game on my pc.
Analogman is a final boss in his own Arc, which is widely considered to be the "Main" Game, while the Digi-Destined Arc is considered "New Game Plus". So yeah, he IS the final boss.) I mean, even BlackWarGreymon duel is not as hard as this one.) At least, from my experience and perspective.
@@MaskedLongplayerI had no idea someone actually made a long play of Brave Frontier until I discovered your playlist. You’re amazing and I’m thoroughly enjoying relieving this incredible game
Christ, it makes me angry that this game doesn’t have multiple save slots- this game was one of many in my childhood, I’d give anything to replay it again on a new save- :’D
It's called Scanlines (a.k.a. CRT effect). It mimics the way the old CRT TV displays worked at the time when these games were being released. Aside from nostalgia factor, this effect also helps masking overly pixelated graphics and/or low resolution output - up till recently, I haven't used this effect, and it really looked like it was all drawn in paint with coarse pixel pattern. I personally don't like when it looks like it, so I've made a poll on the Channel's Page. Most people (from those voted) agreed it looks better. So yeah, I'll continue using it. Now there obviously are some artifacts here and there when using the effect, mostly during high speed scrolling sections in some videos, so I'm sort of going with "try and look" approach for those cases. But for majority of cases it's really good, definitely better than without it, in my opinion.
@@RuneScapeMastersclan Apparently you misunderstood what I meant. I only use it on OLD games in which graphics aspect is already really outdated, or those that Scanlines actually enhance (because graphics for those games were made with the idea that it WILL be displayed on CRTs). Which is why I don't use the effect on PS2 era games and beyond - they look good without it, and they existed in an era where LCDs were already a thing. Same thing for the remake - it's a new 3D game with upgraded graphics, so it doesn't need this effect.
Extremely wonderfully well done with this part, and doing many astral Archives, and also HOLY SMOKES. you do seriously huge amounts of damage. that is just downright amazing. i doubt anyone could defeat you. either way there is more to come. Continue doing amazing.
Team uniforms is, in deed, a good idea. I'm sure they didn't do it in the original game due to memory constraints... although they may have really liked their character designs. Still, that's a cool idea for sure.
Suggestion... can we have special Colored Digimons to fight and tame and more powerful Stats or higher Levels (kinda like mini boss fights) and maybe they have rare chances to appear..!!
While this is an interesting technical Idea, visually I'd keep it the same-colored solution as normal Digimon. I get your idea - it would be like Shiny Pokemon (expect they also would be stronger). However, one of Digimon's Core Concepts already conflicts with that - and that's the existence of Palette-Swap Digimon that are their own species (think BlackAgumon, Muchomon, Solarmon, etc.). Adding even MORE Palette-Swaps that somehow are NOT separate Species would confuse things beyond belief. Which is why I'll keep things simple and just make some encounters rare but rewarding. There will be more than enough new Digimon for this to work anyway. Thanks for the idea, we'll work it out eventually.
@@MaskedLongplayer i know its too much for you as single Dev but this idea would be cool addition to the game. was hoping to see Black MetelGreymon or Dark Purple MetalGreymon as mini Boss fight and other Digimons too. cant wait to see what you do in the future of this game! <3
@@RuneScapeMastersclan I didn't say that DarkMetalGreymon (a.k.a. Virus MetalGreymon) is not in the plans.)) I've stated in a comment under one of the previous videos that a LOT of new Digimon (compared to original game) are coming. For instance, all of the Digital Card Battle digimon (which includes DarkMetalGreymon). It's just that they won't be boss-exclusive. You initially mentioned the idea of palette swaps for Digimon, so maybe we weren't on the same page. What I meant is that there already are Digimon planned for the game that are (technically) palette swaps, but nonetheless are OFFICIAL Digimon that are their own species. These ones ARE planned; but the random Palette Swap as a FEATURE for Digimon just to be exclusive is NOT planned. Just wanted to clarify.
@@MaskedLongplayer Glad to hear that you gonna make colored Digimons. would also love to see they have those cool Boss fight musics which makes them feel more unique too! 😍 and maybe with diffrent Boss-like rooms👾
Cool idea, and not that difficult to do I guess. Well, aside from modelling a whole new Character.)) I'll place it into tasks backlog, and see what I can do when the time comes. For now, thanks for the idea.))
A week or so ago at the recent Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, this game has been remade as part of another Castlevania Collection alongside adding the original as well.
@@ammarali7239 Oh it's only me that's the human player, I assure you. It's just that I manipulate CPU opponent behavior by doing specific moves myself.
Alter Shanie?? Super amazed at how you're getting these new characters. Ough, an alt version of her that's hated on sight instead of mesmerising others makds so much sense and is perfect angst
Seeing how WFS sticks to modern personality stereotypes with their each new Character release, this one, I think, embodies the "Overly Attached Girlfriend". And it's really great it shows how/why such traits appear in one's personality over time - I guess I too would have habits like that if I could not talk to anyone for my whole life without disgustment remarks thrown at me.
To be honest, the original NES version too does not have it. The addition of the prologue cutscene is all thanks to a mod. I've modified the title and description in order to reflect this. Had to do it long ago, but at some time I forgot about it, so thanks for reminding me.)
Don't remember the details now, but if I had to guess, it had something to do with Otoha's AS abilities - her primary Attack Move grows it's power output and crit chance/damage with each turn. Plus, IIRC, the boss has periodical opportunity windows where it's possible to attack it (maybe through applying necessary debuffs, but I'm not sure). After several misses/absorptions the accumulated values were really large, plus the absorption was lifted at the moment, which resulted in that huge amount of damage. Probably not possible with the free Team setups, but who knows, grastas are forever.)
I know what you mean. I'm planning to simplify most of the cutscenes, so that as less movement as possible takes place in them. Some of it is unavoidable though.)
I'm impressed by how much progress you have already made. Obviously, there is much still to do. But, even getting this far is impressive, in my opinion.
