I am a Melbourne based cinematographer, specialising in Location Camera Services for Broadcast, Corporate and Social Media Content Creation. Available as a freelance operator, I have 40 years experience working in the media. I have a strong interest in the preservation of historical footage.
What is the size of the Plate on which you slide the EVF..? I mean the tiny plate in front of the Knob. I need 3d dimensions of that tiny piece.. Or in other words What is the dimension of the SlideRail.. Any answer is much appreciated.
Thanks for this video, I worked at Marconi camera test section in Chelmsford, Essex and worked on the Mark IV as well Mark 7 & 8, The Mark 8 was a well kept secret, and truly revolutionary at that time. It is true that all these cameras needed to warm up for an extended time, and still needed a tweak now and again, But the Mark 8 did all the setting up quickly at the touch of a button.
Thanks for getting in touch. Interesting hearing from someone who worked at Marconi. You'll be happy knowing that me and my colleague have saved a couple of units from the dumpster! They sometimes appear in various TV shows as props.
The 1980 Box Hill Adelphians Senior side was highly talented and easily beat the Box Hill Pioneers in the Grand Final. Players like Ian.Heath and Ian Perrett were great footballers and just about VFL standard. The latter could burst out of the middle with the ball and hit you on the chest with a bullet like drop kick.or stab pass
@davidmirabella9109 I think so pal?The last time I recall seeing him was about 42 years ago! He was a great bloke, great ruckman / follower and together with the other Ian, seemed to hog the Best and Fairest honours? Perhaps aged in early 70's now?
Hi, please could you share a sample footage from that camera? This camera practically uses the latest and most advanced 3CCD, while newer ones like the PXW-Z750 use 3CMOS. I believe 3CCD produces better color than CMOS in general...
Yes, it certainly is a great camera. I like the 3 CCD image too. I generally don't shoot "test footage", thought there is a SLOMO video somewhere on YT channel. To see the footage from it, you"ll need to watch Free To Air TV in Australia haha.
@@davidmirabella9109 Thank you for your response, but you could upload some videos that you have already recorded? I am in Croatia, very far from Australia... :)
When you travel under Union Road now, you get the feeling that the roadway above is nice and wide, but try 2 lousy lanes for size. I can hear you say, "but the crossing is gone" but the roadway is unbelievably narrow. When you look at most of these crossing removals there has always been a catch or short changing in some form. Also, Beresford Street (south) at Mont Albert Road has disappeared.
Having recently moved from a BNW viewfinder on a PMW 500 to a Z750 with the EL20, I noticed that despite all the technological advancements, Sony still isn't able to make color accurate screens or viewfinders even for their top of the line expensive professional cameras. The EL20 naturally has a magenta tint and the LCD on the Z750 has a greenish tint.
When they removed the Canterbury road crossing the rail was put up. Last time I went on this line, before these works, I noticed that so much of the line has been put below ground that I felt like a Morlock (from Jules Verne "the time machine"). Gone are the days of sitting in tait train with the doors open enjoying the view and the smells of the Boronia and Heath on the way to Ferntree Gully. I wonder if it really is progress. There could have been other ways to address the same problem such as was done at North road/Warragul road.
they should have made this ‘sky rail’. It now looks just like any other underground station along the Belgrave/Lilydale line e.g Nunawading, Mitcham and Heatherdale to name a few. Severely lacking character and the good old eastern leafy vibe.
I remember that also as a young schoolboy and also the gates at Warrigal Rd near Oakleigh station. HUGE wait times, especially during peak hours 50 + years ago.
Established in 1936, ceased operations 2002. It was headquartered in Melbourne AU, so it was "special" to us locals. Many of us had friends or family who worked for the airline.
Unfortunately not. I have an FX 6 too, so my video is a subtle message that I/we need a decent EVF for our cinema cameras. Hopefully Sony "step up" and manufacture one!
Great video! I’m thinking about picking up the pair of MK zooms for my F55 because there are some amazing deals on used ones right now. Always been a huge Cabrio 19-90 fan, esp the handy macro lever.
