Damn that has to feel great for Zach... Loses the match but at the end his opponent showed his head a bit gets him tilted and wins the match. Won by losing.
If anybody actually watched the match, you saw AJ was winning easily. He was a national champ as a true freshman. Iowa guy is mad because AJ is transfering to Iowa
I guess the officials missed the fact that there is no winner of this match since the actual wrestling was completed. I may be mistaken, the wrestling was completed, a winner determined (AJ) however in that same moment, got himself a Flagrant DQ which removes him from the tournament, and in this case, the IOWA wrestlers get the 2nd place finish, but there is NO champion here as AJ forfeits this by being FDQ'ed.
I remember when I was in high school wrestling was the biggest no nonsense sport. No primadonnas, no showboating, no low class behavior. I remember those coaches being the most strict of any sports coaches. And if you acted like this you would be running for days. I guess thats not a thing anymore.
It was HORRIBLE sportsmanship..but he won. Any penalties should have been applied outside the bounds of the actual competition..like disqualified from competing next year etc. etc. - The clock was at zero.. when the offenses occurred. - IT'S a wrestling competition. A**holes should be allowed to win too!
Never understood need to shove someone down into the mat after you've already won.. that needs be disciplined out of the sport. Wrestling is a tough, respectable sport. Show class winning and losing
@@artandarchitecture6399 I wrestled for ten years from 7th grade through college and then did some MMA but NEVER MIXED THE TWO. I wrestling I ALWAYS SHOOK HANDS AND KEPT SELF CONTROL.
Really bad for the sport. I wrestled many years and we didn’t act this way. We always STARTED AND FINISHED WITH HANDSHAKES. If this is allowed to continue the sport will be doomed.
