If you want to know more about life and traveling in Norway, go head and subscribe! 😊 I publish videos about my ordinary life in Norway, living in the city of Oslo. Living in one of the most beautiful places in the world 🫶🏻 , I make videos like travel vlogs, the journey of RU-vid filmmaking, lifestyle vlogs, books, self-improvement, and many others! A few years ago I decided stop waiting for life to happen and made the exciting decision to quit my corporate job and move to Norway in search of adventure! Since then I have been on a journey of personal growth to rediscover and reinvent myself. I also share my struggles and my journey of self discipline as I try to increase my productivity 😊 I love connecting with likeminded people and building a community based on love and positivity!
This was a very good presentation of my hometown, btw the area you described a picknick area when you were at Borgundgavelen (the museum) is actually the site of the Borgundkaupang , a viking trading township.
Hej Cristina, Thank you for the beautiful and interesting video! Your video and narrative makes me want to travel there, immediately 🙂 I'm so happy for you that you did travel alone to fulfil your dream! I've always travelled alone and like it best: you can do as you please... In Scandinavia and most middle European countries there's no reason to worry while travelling as a single lady🙂. And you meet nice people everywhere. I'm looking forward to see more of Norway through your eyes. As you said, trips and activities like that develop one's personality - and experience and confidence;-) What's next on your bucket list, dear?
@@BarbaraHempel-tp8tt Thank you, I am so glad to hear that you enjoy it. Yes, it is safe to travel in alone in Norway for a woman compared to other countries. If you get the chance to travel in Norway, Ålesund-Geiranger is a pretty good spot. Next on my list….I would like to see Loen also, but it will have to be next year, because now I got a job, so I finished my vacation days.
The description of your previous "bosses" in the beginning of the clip made me think "WHAT, 'Murican extortion-like work conditions in Norway"! Do NOT be shy about letting other Norwegians know about who they are and their labor practices, they should be run out of business a.s.a.p! The Norwegians are likely to come down on them like 20 tons of bricks, and drum them out of business. I hope your new job ends up being what suits you.
The icy dip: At least you are doing it the proper Nordic way - go to to the Sauna (or hot tub) until you are uncomfortably warm to the marrow of your bones. THEN you are ready for a cool-down, the icy dip! A quick return to the Sauna is easy and pleasant, returning to a hot tub can be a bit painful and extreme (Icelander here). As for your personal life "struggles" - let your intellect AND emotions guide you. Any decision you make regarding long-term relationships and the begetting of children is a HUGE gamble but the rewards can be huge (been there, done that - TWICE!).
From what I have seen, you are attractive, intelligent and a hard worker - but you seem to have some problems with self-esteem. I am unable to properly identify with your situation as I never had that kind of problems, but I am looking forward to following your progress. Don't ask me why, but I have a lot of faith in you eventually breezing through whatever perceived problems you have. The society you live in will certainly not be a hindrance!
I'm a newcomer to your videos and was wondering just WHERE you emigrated from when you moved to Norway. No I know: Spain! Coming from an EU country to an EEC country like Norway is a LOT easier than coming from, say, 'Murica or South America. Still, I'm sure there were unexpected hurdles you had to negotiate. Seeing that you are an attractive woman, I am surprised that (according to the titles of your more recent videos) you are still single in 2024. It must be by personal preference.
I moved from Romania to Spain in my 20s , and to Norway in my 30s. I just feel peace being single in this period of my life, after one too many bad experiences I became addicted to my peace. I enjoy it, for now. I will take different actions when the time will come to want different things.
Got to the end, what a beautiful place to visit, views for days. Really loved the small town with the cabins, and so interesting that the roofs of the houses have grass and small trees growing on them
I am still watching but wanted to say the footage looks just amazing!! Pocket 3 I assume? You have come such a long way, this video has such a nice flow so far, great music choices too
A thousand thanks, as we say in Norway. I am so glad that the work and effort I put in translates to better videos. I also wanna maybe a little lower production so I can post more often. Wide angles were on pocket 3 yes, close ups on R8. That pocket 3 dynamic range is impressive.
@@jostalking No ND’s, and I shot half time on automatic exposure, it did a great job. I am thinking to get ND filters to have a more natural blur, in case I wanna go for a more cinematic look.
Absolutely stunning views in Ålesund. I love the video, nice footage, editing and music!❤️ I would love to go hiking there and how lovely and brave of you to open up, it is not easy, and you are definitely not alone. You go girl! Do what you like and share them with us! Big hug!❤
You should meet the guy with the channel " Life in Norway ".. He has same interests, and is as well a good human being, like yourself! Do it! Make a video together..and..have a snack !
@@CristinaFilms He was as well traveling nea you.. He did for first time a bigger cruise to see how the experience is, but he prefers the small ones like you did or so.. ..as an Iberian, i would not travel without a backpack of food..bread, presunto or chouriço, cheese, a cake slice..and beer! ..and some fruit..and coffee.. yeah..a back pack..lol
@@CristinaFilms Yeah..food is the most important.. and cheaper to buy in supermarket.. I never went to a cruise..ferry yes, but never cruise.. i convinced my brother to work in one for a while .. about the other part time youtuber from Norway, a collaboration video would be good, and he may live near you..many youtubers do..like, an "interview" to each other, like 20 or 30 minutes ..and the other does the same..experiences exchange..and content subject.. Think about it.. he shares you and channel as a creator, and you share him and his...
Hi Christina, Thank you for this very beautiful video. I moved to Ålesund from France a month and a half ago. It's just so gorgeous. The nature here is really striking. You have mountains with the Sunnmøre Alps, fjords, islands, and the sea. It is the perfect mix for adventure lovers. The city has everything you need: cafes, boutiques, a huge shopping center. You can go hiking as soon as you get off work. There are opportunities for everything: mountain sports, water sports, fishing, or just enjoying the gorgeous views we have. I'm glad you had a great time.
You're not the one with a problem, others have a problem for normalizing certain lifestyles that end up making you less happy and don't suit everybody. I hope you find a better work place that will make you happy and not limit who you are. And if being single makes you happy then I'm glad, if you want partnership then I hope you find your soulmate <3
Thank you so much, your comment means a lot. You speak wisely, we live in a society where we normalize many things that are wrong, and many times tells you you are wrong to want to be more of yourself or having your personal boundaries. Wish you good luck and sending you good vibes!
Congrats 🎉 nice to see that you got some job security back and enjoy the environment more! You deserve that. Cool to see how you are able to recognize both sides of the medal. Greetings from an old friend 😉
Nice video, I want to know Some Expats living in Norway are saying Healthcare in Norway is slow and not that good if we need appointment which will take months is it true???
Thanks for the compliment! I haven’t had any problems with my doctor, I was lucky that I got a very good care in the appropriate time when I needed, but I have heard complaints from people living here of having to wait long, or that their problem was not given the proper importance. Again, it’s not what I experienced, but it has been a topic of conversation that doctors here are too chill. I guess it would depend on the problem, and the urgency of the situation. Hope it helps!
Hi Cristina, congratulations! I too have a 9 to 5 job. It can get a little boring sometimes, but overall provides me a healthy work / life balance, that I cherish very much. Don't be so hard on yourself, enjoy the little things. Norway is a beautiful country. Connect with nature more often, inner peace and happiness will follow, you'll see. I wish you good luck on your journey!
