I remember listening to this song on the radio in the car when I was really young. It was one of my favourites. Even though I didn't understand the meaning behind the lyrics at the time, I just really liked it. Now that I've grown I can't help but wonder if liking this song back then helped me to cope with some stuff growing up by remembering and returning to it. Ether way, great music :)
It can get better, I've been through hell too many times to count, have compassion and patience for yourself, as well as empathy and compassion for the ones who have hurt you, most likely they've been hurt themselves and weren't able to process and let go of their hurt, then went on to inflct that same pain on others. It doesn't mean you have to allow them back into your life, just understand it's not your fault for what they've done to you, forgive them for Your Own sake - not theirs - so you may release your own pain and wish them the same in your heart. Empathy and compassion is the way. You are worth it and wonderful in your own unique way, don't let the pain of others, who then put it on you, beat you down. Forgive them, forgive yourself if you need to and realize life is a learning process, no one is perfect, but some people turn their trauma into wisdom through empathy and compassion while the others continue suffering while not learning nor growin and repeating the same cycles of abuse. Rise above, love yourself, and try to relaease your burden through empathy, compassion, and forgiveness. Learn your lessons and keep it moving forward with a wiser, loving heart. Hugs to you all hurt by the cold! ❤
This was in my "running playlist", back in 2015 when I was into running. Whenever this song started, I would get into the zone. During the chorus my pace would match the beat and at that time I truly believed I could run forever.
After school with my kids i kept up with the bands' as we watched the country and rock video channels while we relaxed . not so much since. This is one of my go to favorites on disk..
