"Intermezzo" es un programa de radio por internet que transmite en la radio educacion del mayab, un proyecto de la Secretaria de Educación Pública del Estado de Yucatán.
El proposito del canal es para que el auditorio del programa y/o gente en general pueda disfrutar de las mejores arias del repertorio operístico leyendo tanto el texto en el idioma original como la traducción en español
Grande Boito questa opera é un vero capolavoro con un finale meraviglioso e spettacolare. Anche Giuseppe Verdi si complimentó con Boito ancor prima della rappresentazione
Once again we observe the mastery of opera composers...it is humanly impossible to position yourself in a role of Satan without being admired by the voice and power of this baritone. A true polarity that must be extremely difficult (if not impossible) to create without special sensitivity. The heavenly choir frames this scene and makes it out of this world...
First, great finale by Boito. Powerful, overwhelming. Second, there may have been a greater Mefistofole then Ramey, but I've sure never seen him. Electrifying. Last, I love this production. When I used to watch this many years ago on VHS with my then little kids, they were mesmerized by this performance. They called it the 'Devil Opera'. Had it on VHS, DVD, and currently Blu-ray. One of my favorites our of almost 100 operas I have on DVD or Blu-ray. Unfortunately, Ramey was the last great Bass we've had so far. Hopefully there's another in the pipeline to eventually do honor to this, one of the real showpieces for a bass.
Ritengo che sia l'opera più bella composta con tutto il rispetto per tutte le altre stupende opere composte da verdi Donizetti bellini rossini mascagni Puccini ecc ecc..stupendi capolavori ma questa opera mi procura brividi più intensi di qualsiasi altra opera.
Benakova toujours exceptionnelle : timbre, dicton, musicalité. Araiza routinier et d'artegna (???) franchement pas bon. Je le répète ici : benakova en live c'était juste fabuleux.

I can only imagine the look on Henry the Eighth if this happened to him at his death. Seriously though, my second favourite opera along with “Don Giovanni.”
I saw this on Classic Arts Showcase some years ago & it is absolutely breathtaking!! Thank you for this. I moved & no longer get that channel. I never thought I'd see it again!
Я под огромным впечатлением от этой оперы! Рэми просто дьявольски божественен! Лучше него, по моему мнению, никто эту партию не исполняет и не проживает. Глядя на этого Мефистофеля, прекрасно понимаешь КАК продают душу! Браво!
I LOVE this opera but I detest this SF Opera production. I have never liked it. Lucky many times to not only see , but sing in, the great & gorgeous NYC Opera production created in the 60s for the great & legendary Norman Treigle. Can't remember who the original designer & stage director was, but I always loved watching & singing in this production, also beloved by audiences. Sadly it & NYC Opera are no longer around.
