I was there. I just was a massive fan of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, I had no idea what they looked like or that they have the best live show ever. Absolutely ecstatic. On the side of the stage a number of people from other bands that played the big day out were dressed up in costumes dancing and one of them was Drew Barrymore who I think was dating someone in the strokes at the time.
A bunch of European boarding school educated rich kids acting cool taking drugs and slagging off working class public servants. How very cutting edge this all was.
