Stephen Yan makes me genuinely happy. His skill, energy and genuine joy really makes me smile. Plus it reminds me of being a little kid and watching with my mom! So great.

I love this show, the food always looks good, i remember the apron and the fortune cookie,light hearted and fun show all around.

The title is WRONG this is not Yan can cook (Martin Yan) this is "Wok before you can run" (Stephan Yan) they are completely different shows with completely different people who are not related. Its a bit racist thinking that they look the same. So title should be Wok before you can run.

Stephen Yan and Martin Yan are not the same person, although Martin did work for Stephen prior to their television careers. They are also not brothers Yan is just a really common name in Hong Kong.

This gay Asian cook needs to leave the country if his remarks are "Fuck America to Hell" over a tragic car accident caused by a drunk juvenile. We have all been there while growing up and fortunately not many of these incidents happen in our great USA. This is Stephan Yan who is based in Canada while Martin Yan of "Yan Can Cook" is based in the States. Both came from Guangzhou, China.
