I only stayed for 17 hours (I had wanted to stay longer) but I underestimated how much water I was going to drink and I didn’t bring a container to boil water in. It was way too hot to be without water. I had a little trouble with mosquitoes but they weren’t too bad since I had brought bug spray.
Great adventure, thanks for sharing! Here in Montana we are so dry right now that we could never start up a fire like that and for sure would put it out completely before going to bed. Interesting how places can be so different. I liked that you shared Scripture. God has so much to do with our salvation and we often start out we had a big part in it. 2 questions for ya! 1) what was that little critter that scattered off when you lifted up the rock? and 2) do you use any salt or flavoring for the meats?
These animals have to be the cleanest animals PERIOD !! When the opossum ate the banana using his hand for help, He cleaned his feet hands with the tongue.

Thank you for saving him, loving him, sharing him, and for giving him mealworms and crickets. It seems like a lot of possum rescuers give 'em so much unhealthy people food, the possums end up with crossed/bulging eyes. Blessings on you and Remy!!
Listen, I don't want to be "that guy" and I am not judging you or telling you that you shouldn't have done this....likely you saved this little guy and that's great. So this is mostly for others that come here and hear you say that in AR you can have up to 6 native wild-life animals like squirrels and opossums and may decide to do that. So let me be clear, what you are doing is illegal (perhaps morally right, but illegal). The AR law you reference says that you can keep up to 6 native animals, true enough. But the law also says they must be "native born" and purchased from a licensed, commercial dealer. You can't go out and catch or even pick up and keep a wild animal in AR or almost anywhere else. In most states, you can''t own any animal that lives wild in the state no matter how you get them, so AR is more flexible than 43 other states. But even in AR, they can't be wild-born. I think we all understand why. You can't have a law allowing people to just go out in the woods and capture baby animals and try to make them pets. For the last time, I know that isn't what you did and I'm not mad at you for trying to help. Just want people to know you can't catch and keep real wildlife. There isn't an acception for injured or abandoned, either, unless you are a licensed wildlife rehabber and that is a pretty hard thing to get.d

The hogs destiny was fulfilled in becoming food for people. It was NOT mistreated in any way. It had the right to be killed and eaten, and that right was completed. Keep the CUTLERY sharp!
My juvenile is gaining weight, but sleeping way too much. I never wormed her . Have you tried any oral OTC wormers with success? Your child is precious and enjoying a wonderful experience with Reme. ☺️
I rehab baby possums, I have 6 as pets right now, they are so misinterpreted. For one, they do not have rabies, their body temperature is too low for the virus to survive. Secondly, if you have ever been bitten by a poisonous snake, thank a possum, this is where ur anti venom came from. Possums can be bitten 10-20 times by a rattlesnake and not be phased one bit by their poisonous venom. They really are amazing little marsupials, only living marsupial in North America. One more thing, if u happen to unfortunately come across a deceased possum, check the pouch, u might very well find some babies, aka pinkies.
