I started a new playthrough after years and ended up being able to perfect parry it pretty much every time when I beat him last night. But his reflection of strength I can't even get past the 3rd attack sometimes. I was going make one of the hardest sekiro clips on youtube by using no lock on, camera locked in side profile and a certain reshade effect (actually how I beat him but didn't record) but it feels impossible now.
Player: Excuse me, my ship can't enter the space port, don't you have a bigger one? Worker: Sir, this port space is for class A, B and C ships, not class M. Player: But my ship is class C, look at my documents, they are in order, it clearly says class C. Worker: Impossible!!
Umm I just slap them on my ships... You have to power them all to be able to use. If you use mods, the power required will exceed what is shown on the screen. They will automatically fire any targets in-range but you still have to adjust your ship while riding so they can see and shoot the enemies
Any mod that lets me customize interior will be a huge help. The ships' interior of this game is one hell of a bugger with weird random ladders... You can definitely add a hydralisk skull if you know a bit of coding and modeling tho :D
This ship is an absolute beauty but the fact that it needs mods and console commands makes it a "no thank you" for me. It's a beautiful art piece though !
Actually without the tweaking code it can still fly normally, just kinda slow :D It's mostly for-fun so yea I wouldn't recommend using it too often since its so laggy and beefy every loading screen will be a torture :(
Yea but there's not much variety here so I just slapped anything that I think will work in lol It also has some weird clipping when you get off the pilot chair too...
Right. $70 to make a spaceship in a game that uses a 20 year old game engine. Right. And you can use the Skyrim cheat codes. I.e. Hit ~ then type TGM. You have God mode. Unlimited health, Ammo and your spaceship cannot be destroyed. Right. Spend spend 20-40 hours building a imaginary spaceship, while they turn off your internet for lack of payment, because you forgot to go to work and pay your bills. Right. That's the ticket. Meanwhile, some illegal alien just took over your job for 1/2 the pay. Makes total sense to me.
Chill out brother xD You can always play better games that you like, I'm a casual player and I just wanna have fun. I have a lot of free time so I play it out of curiosity and got hooked with this lego thing it offers. Maybe give it a chance after a while with more updates and mods?
I agree xD It is an absolutely beast. Damn thing took me 5 mins to navigate to the workbench inside... It makes the final Sysdef mission a cakewalk while destroying my fps :(
@@ni6hant He's just the normal spear monk with 2 health bars. His attack patterns are quite easy to read after a few tries. You can always level mikiri if you don't like to parry him tho :D
Nice to see you enjoy ^^ If you follow the notes exactly like the sheets I think both flutes are quite similar. The only thing I find that differentiates the Xiao from other flutes is that its highest hole only produces Bb note (unlike other flutes which is B). You can always use other instruments to play Chinese verses but it's always the best to use the local one :D

What is the exact full name of it and what key is it in? If the the top hole would normally be a B natural, and I understand you said yours plays Bb in that position, then the key of the flute is D; am I correct? I do read sheet music. I play trumpet as well. I don't find playing a song by ear as easily as others. I am one who needs the sheet music, the notation. But with the Irish flute/whistle, once I know the key I can easily harmonise. That is pleasurable. With trumpet we have to know how to transpose in different keys, from one to another, to play with others. I quite enjoy that, I find it pleasurable challenge. Some may think that odd. Haha! . Unfortunately I'm not living in Ireland so I can't give you an address that would sell DongXiao in your country :( You may have to ask some musical schools surround you for that. About the tones, Xiao flutes come in any tone you desire for it, but the most popular ones start with C or D (the lowest note), but the Chinese usually write the name of the 3rd note on them so you''ll see them being F or G. As I've stated, the highest notes would always be 1/2 tone lower than normal flutes, but you can always use your technique to recreate the correct pitch since you have the advantage of your flute's full round last note. I enjoy the melodies of trumpets too so if you have any songs you'd like to play please share it. Each person has an unique playstyle and I happen to enjoy every version of a song I come across being it having vocals or not :D you are used to sheets and notations so my guess is your learning curve will be significantly shorter than many other people practicing this instruments. If you want to deflect the circle blades you have to time your tap for every blade. The last 2 hits of the circle blades can be deflected with only 1 tap but the timing is very tight. Hope I understand your comment right :D
The worst thing I've found about Geni and his floating passage is that in NG+3 or higher in the final fight, if that penultimate hit (you know, the one that's almost frame perfect to deflect) breaks your posture, you die. The last hit is strong and it'll drain your entire health bar and there's not really anything you can do about it. Makes you either waste your time by giving up and trying again, or waste a resurrection that you'd want to save for Isshin. My sanity improved significantly once I found this out (by searching for the experiences of others online), and just decided to run when he does that attack.
@@ben_patel Haha, for sure. And thank you! It feels good to, and I would definitely try more if they hadn’t made the window shrink so much under that combo. But with all the deaths I had to that one single attack, I can’t be bothered anymore. I still stick primarily to deflection and pure swordplay for most other boss fights, that are a little more fair. :)
I think there is still another version of FP you didn't mention. When you push Genichiro 2 hard(too aggressive), and interrupt too much of his move(especially the shooting move). He will do a approaching move with super armor first then a delayed FP. I don't know is it the same from the normal floating passage but for me it feels a bit different. Your video is already very specific I know, but I want to know if you can give some comment on that one.
I know the alternative FP you're talking about. It's actually used in a lot of mods and is pretty easy to deflect too. It looks way better and feel more fair than the original FP imo. 2 years has passed since the day I uploaded the video and there are still people like you tinkling through the game's content. This brings me so much joy ^^

It's Sakura Dance, a skill you'll get after you've completed the Reflection of Strength challenges in any idol. You'll take 0 damage from reflecting lightning attacks and look cool af :D
I wanted to see if we could parry the mikiri which he combos it right after floating passage in his third life(way of tomoe), but in this battle genichiro stopped in betweem both times to hit you with Sakura dance 🙄
@@ben_patel yes i did it. I just had to know the timing. Also can you parry the grapple which he does after you parry his mikiri? I guess that can be parry'd too i need to experiment with it

thats exactly how i did it! parrying this attack makes you feel like the true boss, feels so fucking badass, like something a shura would do, loved it, this game truly deserved GOTY
@@ben_patel no wonder sekiro is still so expensive, Activision KNOWS they can't put DLC's or microtransactions in such an amazing game, so they just kept the price high while other games go on sale in a few years or so!
@@Gozieaaa Actually I feel pretty sad for the "no DLCs" part. It was started as a side project from the junior team of Fromsoft but turned out to be 1 of the best games ever made. Let's just hope they'll return to pay more attention to this masterpiece some day...

What’s interesting is that people call the move floating passage, when it’s really spiral cloud passage. He uses floating passage when you move to far from his spiral cloud passage, in the inner version
He doesn't summon those wind slashes like Sekiro or Isshin so it's safe to say it's Floating Passage brother :D Besides, Spiral Cloud Passage was made by Isshin, Genichiro only got taught by Lady Tomoe who invented Floating Passage tho

@@lukes401k It's called Spiral Cloud Passage for a reason, the "Spiral Cloud" part is the wind slashes, without emblems you're just mimicking it. Genichiro created his own version of Tomoe's Floating Passage because he couldn't control the wind like Isshin, he's only a farmer's son who got adopted by Isshin and trained very hard. You can clearly see during the entire fight he doesn't have magical moves like Isshin's fire attacks and wind attacks (not the lightning part, he jumps to catch it and throws it at us). I'm not talking about the Inner version, that was Sekiro's in-mind fight. Of course Isshin would've taught him but Genichiro just couldn't, he's still just a normal person. That's one of the reasons why prime Isshin (final boss) called him "pitiful grandchild". It's actually sad now that I'm thinking about it. Our boi tried to git gud but he just can't :( Btw I can surely say his rare 2nd visually-different variant of Floating Passage does not look the same as the Spiral Cloud Passage that we learnt from Isshin, and I can also say Spiral Cloud Passage without emblems is just a longer Floating Passage :D We can take this debate further but that's my point, and I respect yours as well. As far as I know, none of this is confirmed by the creators of the game so I may be wrong or you may be wrong or we may both be. It makes me happy to see players like you keep digging into this game ^^
a year late, but it is possible to beat her parry only. the strategy involves cornering her back to a wall, and then just staying in her face. I myself didn't think it was possible till i found the video below. I don't like manipulating her AI to proc that move since it loses the immersion of the fight. That's why I had to chip her hp down. Parrying her was never impossible (i only say that because with this particular boss, not True Monk, her posture recovers too quick it'll turn into an hours-long video). The trick you showed from the video is called parry cheese :D It is a well known strat for practicing deflecting Corrupted Monk and True Monk. But still, congrats on your victory brother, a win is a win. You'll reach the peak of this game in no time ;) Btw you are never late, the game has plenty of mods for you to conquer. Take your time brother ^^
@@ben_patel thanks! but the video isn't mine. I pretty much retired in early 2020, except for a short while where i came back to do inner gen, and then retired again. I came back recently to finish inner isshin and test some stuff(firecrackers and burn effects) In my run, i used nightjar slash instead of cornering her, since nightjar slash can chase + dodge sweep at the same time. and the slash(and animation recovery speed for the following ) and deflect will stop her posture from recovering. But i was always wondering if its possible to beat her without inflicting vitality damage on her, as i feel vitality damage is an unfortunate side effect of clean attacks. Especially for monk, since her posture regen is so fast, so beating her at her highest regen rate seems most fair. And then I found out about the video i shared with you. (this is the 2nd attempt at reply, incase you got the 1 before. It turned out weird after i clicked reply, and so i deleted that and typed this instead. Forgive if it seems like a double post)
You definitely can if you push her to a corner and constantly repeat the parry cheese. But it'd be quite tedious after a few minutes to fill her posture. True Monk is different from this boss, she applies Yashariku's sugar on herself in the beginning of the fight so you'll fill that posture bar way quicker than Corrupted Monk. That's what I've learnt from my experience, tell me if you find something else. It's good that this game still has dedicative players like you testing out things ^^
after he turns his back to you, he does seven slashes. the first five, as well as the seventh are extremely easy to perfect deflect. but the timing of the sixth slahs is impossible to figure out for me. I can't even tell if I'm blocking to late or too early. And the The timing is just like nothing else in the game. You know how people alwys say rythm game? Well, in music, there are some rythms that are more intuitive and much more common, I feel like the sixth slash is made deliberately weird. Watching any footage feels like it's clearly 1..2..3 - 4.5.6...7 with the gaps between 1, 2, and 3 being evenly spaced, and the gaps between 4, 5, and six being evenly spaced as well, only faster than the 1,2,3 ones. But it just doesn't work if I do it like that. So the gap between 5 and 6 is either longer or shorter than I think, but the gap between 4 and 5 is already really short, so the only way I could do even faster is by immediately pressing deflect, basically spamming, but that doesn't work so I guess it has to be longer, but if I wait even the slightest pause, I get hit instantly and posture broken. The worst thing is, the regular block doesn't immediately vanish after you stop holding the L1 button. It lingers for a moment. So if I hold L1 and let go right before I would get hit, the attack is still blocked and I only take posture damage. This makes it nearly impossible to figure out if I deflect to early or too late, because too early still counts as blocking, but spamming L1 between 5 and 6 still doesn't work. However the most frustrating part is, unless you are doing a true no damage run, even without the charm, this only matters in your first genichiro encounter. Because early game, this combo will always fill your posture completely, but in late game, unless I'm on a sliver of hp and can't risk the chip damage, or I'm already nearly full posture, I can just tank the sixth hit, it barely does significant damage. This is my experience at least. So I perfectly deflect most the first couple of slashes, block the sixth slash because it doesn't matter what timing I try, take a bit of posture and chip damage and then still deflect his final big slash. It could be so easy if it wasn't so difficult.
That's a very thorough inspect of yours ^^ If you are still curious, the last 2 fast slashes can be deflected by only 1 parry. Nonetheless, you are very dedicated and I'm glad this game still has players like you. You'll figure out the frames soon, good luck brother :D
My brother, don't give up! I used to think like you but I kept practicing. It's not consistent but you'll eventually pull it :D It took me 2 days straight of recording just to get 1 no damage video without using the umbrella. Pay attention to the rhythm, and try not to switch your gaming gear too much so you can have a pattern in your head ;)
@@ben_patel Its a little impossible to practice when i dont know what im doing wrong. Its hard to improve upon that which doesn't give me any feedback at all on whether im on the right track or not. I am positive im pressing the button at the same rythm, I've even tried muting the game so as to only hear the tapping noise. I always eat chip damage from the last attack. I am about a week in and I couldn't do it once granted Im half decent at the game and can beat this boss without taking a hit.
@@juliaoescravo4054 If you're getting chip damage you'll still have to adjust your timing. I formed my pattern through my own practices so I don't know how to describe it to you :( Don't give up brother, remember it's frame perfect so it's not gonna be easy, keep working on it
@@nobodyfour1686 With enough practice? Yes, I believe. Not always but "often" is definitely achievable. You also need to stay consistent with your gaming gear, too. Create a pattern in your head that whenever you press deflect, while holding only "that" controller or mouse, at "that" exact point of time it would always execute the deflect perfectly :D Just some tips from my exp, hope it helps you bro ;)
I really don't understand why people are so impressesd by this. With all My time fighting genichiro, the one thing I knew would be easy to parry and get good damage was his floating passage bc it is so easy to parry. Is it really that hard? All you have to do is listen to the sound.
