I am a passionate DIYer and while I only work on projects mostly on weekends, the only thing I enjoy more than the actual DIY-ing is sharing them with the world so thanks for dropping by and hope you find something of interest to you. :)
Had this saw for a couple of years now and it’s awesome. For the price, nothing else comes close to it. My only main complaint is the fence… it isn’t straight end to end. It’s got a very slight concave bow in it. At least mine does. The middle of the fence bows away from the blade by 0.01”. And while that isn’t a huge deflection, it matters. It’s impossible to get a perfectly straight cut using it. Solved it easy enough with a longer MDF fence I made to fit overtop. And pretty much any DIY or hobbyist like myself will end up doing that anyways with any saw so it’s not a deal breaker. Could be a no-go for a jobsite application though. The throat plate is also utter crap. Thin plastic that deflects easily when cutting thin stock. And unless you got a CNC, it’s hard if not impossible to make a zero clearance insert for it. There are a few channels that need routing out for it to fit. Luckily there is a guy that makes them, and they’re not expensive. He sells them on Amazon and Etsy, 4 for about $60 or so. Just search on YT or Amazon, he’s the only person making them so it’s easy enough to find. His channel is called CNCDesigns I think. And they work great. At the end of the day it does everything that the 10” Dewalt does, at 1/2 the price. I’d recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Just make sure you make yourself a better fence and insert for it. 👌
When I was a teenager, I wanted to use my dad’s chop saw to cut some rope I had. The saw was on the ground and I held the rope tight with my right foot and my left hand. By some miracle, when the rope inevitably got sucked up and twisted around the shaft of the blade, my hand and foot were able to slip free. It took me many more years to realize that there’s a relationship between blade speed, feed speed, tooth count, and the rigidity of the thing you’re cutting.
are these made in the same factory ?, just checked out the new Evolution r255 TBL table saw and it is identical , except for one point , the R255 has a sliding table section
This planer, while it seems well built, is junk. I've bought one from shopee, thinking that it should be good enough for occasional weekend diy use, but the motor conked out after only 1 month of moderate usage. Do yourself a favor and just buy a better brand planer. This planer is also not exactly cheap. For its price, i would have expected na tatagal ng kahit 1 year man lang sana. Lesson learned. Just spend a bit more on those proven brands of powertools. Never again lotus.
Hello po. We purchased this unit. When we charged it for the first time, the digital display automatically lit up. Di naman namin makita kung saan ang on/off button. Okay lang po ba yun?
Now that is one fine video. I wish all such review videos were that sleek, fast relative to the content, and focused with comparisons to known competitors. Great work.
