Hello. My name is Linda. My love for paper goes back to my childhood when I spent many hours coloring, cutting, gluing, and making things from paper. Over the years, I have enjoyed many arts and crafts, including painting and drawing, fiber arts, and other handcrafts. Finding the junk journal community on RU-vid opened a whole new world of creativity for me. I found a craft that brought together my need to be creative with a lifelong affinity for paper and the joy of creating something interesting and wonderful from things I already have. I hope you'll join me in the fun of making handmade journals in the junk journal style.

When you had mentioned before useing swatches of wallpaper. I thought what a great idea. The fabric is even better. Thank you for this video. Love your work. 🤗🌻
@@lyndarandall211 Aw, thank you, Lynda. I’m so glad that you like my ideas. I really appreciate your support. It’s my pleasure to share, and I thank you for watching.
Thank you so much, Wanda. I was happy to be able to use some of that fabric. I'm thinking pockets would be a good use of it, too. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
Love your tags, Linda. And your embellishments… I have always saved those ornament toppers too lol… too pretty to throw out!! Thanks for sharing your ideas.❤️
Hi Rhonda. Thank you for your comment. LOL about saving the ornament toppers, too. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I'd be interested to know how you have used them. Thanks for watching. I appreciate you! ❤
@@lindaspaperworks I have mainly used them on handmade ornaments but I love adding them flattened as embellishments to tags or other things I’ve handmade… especially when they have the engraved details. But when out of sight, out of mind… so a lot of times I forget I have them!! So maybe this will help me remember to get them out and use them again!❤️
@@joyjunktique I know what you mean about out of sight out of mind. I can so easily forget what I have. I look forward to seeing how you use some of them in some future projects of yours. Have a great weekend.
Hi Phyllis, I completely understand. I'm always excited when I figure out a way to use the things I'm not so sure I wanted. Do you keep them or pass them on? Or it depends...Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
@@GouldianStitchery Thank you, Rebecca. I’m glad you like them. I’m enjoying my journal making and making the items to add to them. Thank you for visiting. ♥️
@@wandawalters3516 Hi Wanda. And you will have lots of pockets with this idea. You can even glue it down on a page as a pocket or tuck spot for one more. Thanks so much for your comment.
I love this idea so much. Sometimes I will glue the flap to the next page if they fit together well and make a pocket that way and I have glued on big tags but I haven't tried this bag. Such a great idea!! I love the painting too. Adds so much.
I’m happy that you like the idea. It’s always good to have alternatives. Your ideas of a large tag and gluing the page down to make a pocket are great, too. Thank you for watching and sharing your ideas.
@@BeAgainBooks Hi Kathleen. I’m glad that you feel inspired by this idea. I’m sure that the ones you make will be wonderful. Thank you, my friend. I always appreciate your support.

Hi Wanda. Thank you. I hope you have fun making some. One great thing is that you can make them plain and embellish them when you add them to a journal. Great for mass making. Thanks for coming by.
De nada. Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad you like the ideas and am happy that you like my work. Thanks for commenting. You are helping me remember some Spanish words I learned long ago.
@@sharminikamalikajayawarden7541 I’m so glad to hear that you are inspired to make these for your journals. You’re welcome. I’m happy to share. Thank you for watching and for leaving me a comment.
Great demo Linda - I really appreciate seeing you do this! So slick and they are beautiful. I especially appreciate the detail adding the blanket stitch - such a great finish! So many ideas also Linda! I love your cheerful yellow journal!
Hi Kathleen. I'm glad you found some useful ideas here. Thank you so much for you kind words. I learned a lot making the yellow journal, and I still like it. Hope you are having a good week. Thanks for coming by.
Y'all, as I am replying to comments I keep thinking of other ways to use tassels. For instance, adding them to drawer or door pulls. Even tied around a doorknob. They would also be so cute to use on a gift--maybe two attached to a cord that you tie around the gift. It's like a gift on a gift. I know these aren't journal making ideas but add so much charm wherever they're added. Then if you needed a tassel for a journal, you could steal it off the door or drawer. 😃 Make tassel keychains for your friends. Tell me how else you might use a tassel--small or fat, tiny or long. P.S. I saw some nylon crochet thread at Walmart today that would make some really elegant tassels.
Hi Carol. You are most welcome. I'm so glad that you like the instructions for the two at a time and the stitching. Hope that you have fun making some soon. Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment.
