They must have nerfed something because this no longer works. Used the exact same setup as you and he never staggers. Tried it a good dozen times, never a stagger. Even tried swapping the strength-knot tear for the stonebarb to encourage more staggers and it wont work.
I just tested it and it still works. You are probably trying to break his poise while he is doing trẽs / duo / ũnus. He cannot be staggered during those "attacks", you need to wait until he finishes and then continue.
I'm lvl 120 and doing to much dmg with the same setup so the second shackle didn't work. So I switched the strength-knot crystal tear for the purifying crystal tear and got him after that with the same exact choreography. Thanks for the guide!
This is cool but i dont understand why anybody would want to do this.. i mean all the comments about "thanks i needed this for my rl1". Arent you doing rl1 to test your own ability? Might as well play at level 200 and use a +10 mimic if you're looking for shortcuts at RL1. Just seems contradictory to find easy ways on an optional boss ar RL1 doesn't anybody think so?
@@AshanSonic that's cool man and nice strat! I actually invented an entirely new way to skip his phase 2 at RL1 after watching this and practicing it for about 6 hours to get the timing down. I'll post it eventually but probably on my wife's account since she actually has subscribers lol. For me the whole point of RL1 is to see how good I actually am. How long I can last with minimal damage output and maxim taken and also, of course, avoided. I did not have fun with a +25 weapon but a +0 was the best rl1 I've ever done
Radagon soreseal, Axe talisman, ritual sword talisman and probably dagger talisman. Cant really think of a fourth that would be better. Physique can be anything here. Charge atk up, strength knot are the best bets.
Hi, you can check patch notes version 1.09, they reduced roll distance slightly. It is still better than on the release, they just partially reverted previous buff.
Shackle won't work while transitioning to second phase, make sure boss is still recovering from poise break while you use it. Also don't riposte boss, iirc recovery from critical hit prevents shackle from working.
I had +5 faith from Godrick's great rune, but if you don't want to waste Rune Arcs, you could use Two fingers heirloom talisman (+5 faith) and swap it after cast.
Very well done! I was copying your build but I cant use rogiers rapier with this setup. Maybe something changed since the video? How to raise dex so i can use it?
Thank you! Rogier's Rapier requires 17 dex, I got +5 from Radagon's Soreseal and +5 from Godrick's Great Rune. Also, sadly, Flame of the Redmanes got nerfed into oblivion and it deals only 10 poise damage (original was 40). First poise break from this video will still work, but rest of the fight would have to be scripted differently (or fought normally, if you keep poise from recovering with daggers, you would still get stagger with Glintblade Phalanx, just a little later)
Look how they massacred my boy. This nerf is too harsh, I would be okay if it was nerfed from 2 to 3 casts to 4 to 5 to poise break, but now it doesn't even make sense to use this ash of war anymore at all, the damage and range is also ridiculous, they could've at least increase the range.
Still melts those Erdtree Avatars even if it is a shadow of it's former self. Also a range option for daggers, and if you like fire or flame art this is like half your arsenal lol.
Oh fromsoft is just doing its job, they want to make sure 80% of weapons and spells are useless in a game designed to play beyond max level. They are very good at this they have decades of experience.
So, disabling boss AI apparently makes them "unaware", even if boss fight properly started before. This caused me to do 12 poise damage, even though normally I would do only 10. I am very sorry for misinformation.
In an unfair game with fucking bullshit enemies where the dev didn't give a rats ass about fairness then they decided to nerf the AoW that made any of this bullshit tolerable. Fuck you fromsoft I hope AC6 bankrupts your companie.
As typical Fromsoft always does (except for Rivers of Blood and Bloodhound's Step, which for some ungodly reason are still broken today), instead of nerfing something, THEY NUKE IT. Now, it's completely useless. Just like Carian Retaliation. 🖕 you Fromsoft, get better at making your games instead of releasing them broken and then breaking them even more.
Yea absolutely useless dogshit AoW now. Sad since it wasn't op for pvp. I feel like they should never nerf something for pve. Its not like the game is too easy.
@@Omega77232 not better than flame of the redmanes was i am just finding out how much the nerfed shit for the PvP trash after taking a few months off. No one plays these games for that garbage. PvP continues to be a bane on this current iteration of this franchise. Wasn't so bad in Dark souls cause the bosses didnt hit like mack trucks, but they got there award now they can ruin the game chasing after the casuals only to find no one will play until they come out with a dlc anyways. PvP will only ever be a niche there is no reason to tune a game with the casuals in mind.
Lol I'm sure they launched the game full of overpowered stuff so the retard critics would give it a good score but now they're slowly and covertly rising the difficulty patch by patch.
Maybe except colosseums that were completely modelled since release, I don't think there were any unfinished parts. Balance tweaks are not something that you can "finish" before release in game as big as this, players will always find something you couldn't think of. But if they didn't like FotR used for poise damage, they should have nerfed it months ago, like Hoarfrost stomp or SONAF, it is not new discovery.
@@Gashi4 they tweaked this along with wavedash coz these things will be broken in arena and also only the damage are only separately scaled not these kind of things
