WORST click bait I've seen recently. Most viewers hate it when a so called professional angler posts pictures with arms extended! Geeeez - don't you catch enough big boys to take normal man pictures bud? Don't guys like you know another experienced angler always looks to see your elbows, which will show in a "REAL" fish pic. Only leaving this comment so you'll think before doing.
I aspire to be doing this some day. Just amazing. And fishing it’s always great to watch some fishing in ya home area! Love y’all from the great North aha, thank u for everything y’all do and congrats for everything y’all have earned!
That launch is at the end if Patterson Road and is known as the DNR launch at Patterson and is not public access. I trust you men had or have a rec pass to launch there. I see plenty that don't and abuse this resource.
There is a new lure that pike and bass absolutely love. It is the 7.5 inch Squid swim bait. Soft rubber and so life like that the fish don`t hesitate to eat it! It works best with no added weight. Just a slow retrieve and BAM!! They just tear it up! Just rig it weed-less with a single hook, and that`s it.
Wow just realized this is no longer. Every year at the start of the season I come here to get in the mood for ice fishing. Hopefully pat pj and James can return someday. No one runs a more professional and informative ice fishing show. Quite literally learned everything from you guys and bought all my equipment from watching these shows for years. Thank you for all you guys have done.
Boy you fellas picked the perfect time to hang it up. Filming week of shows would’ve been an absolute nightmare this season so far, or I guess it would’ve been more open water shows than we are accustomed to
Hey I know this video is a couple years old, but I noticed you guys are both running flashers side by side. Have you ever had any issues with interference doing this? Thanks!
Nice episode guys!!😊😊 What action , length of rods and what lb braid were you guys running? I remember seeing some other episodes for lake trout that you were using medium action rods and was wondering if a medium action rod can cover both lake trout and walleye if a lake has both?
I love the clips man. Great Adventure!! The first laker got me curious on one thing. Knowing that you used a walleye blank on this episode, do you think a medium action rod between 32-38 inches is a good blank to cover both walleye and lake trout as long it has a balance of bend and backbone?
Still can't believe this show is gone. This was the best ice fishing show on RU-vid hands down. No other channels have the production or editing like this show did. This was the show that got me hooked on ice fishing many years ago when i first moved to Minnesota. Im sitting here now watching all the old episodes and reminiscing. Thanks for such a great show that was packed with knowledge.
I used to fish Lake Nipigon back in the mid 80's. The old guy that owned the lodge talked about the original strain of Lake Trout in Nipigon was very dark colored almost black. He stated that commercial fishing caused the number of fish to drop and when they restocked it they stocked a strain of Lake Trout from Lake Superior which is the normal green color. Through the years they continued stocking Lake Superior Trout. So the dark strain are very rare now. At least that's the story!
