I think we might stay mostly in Mimaru’s next time in Japan. It was a great experience and I’ve heard only good things about all the different locations.
Hi guys, We’re about to go on our first Disney cruise and I’m just wondering. Did you guys feel you spent a lot on the cruise it’s self with merchandise, beer, wine ect or was your bill at the end quite reasonable? As almost everything is included I’m just not sure how much spending money I will need for my partner and 10yr old. Any advice would be absolutely amazing!
How exciting for you guys! As far as spending goes, we spent very little. We had one beer or wine with dinner each night only and otherwise took our allowance of take on drinks. I think it’s a 6 pack each or 2 bottles of wine per adult. And we didn’t buy any merch. It’s very expensive and since we did the fish extender exchange, we came home with so many gifts that we didnt feel the need. We only did the small pre-paid photo package too so overall, we spent around $100.
It’s a Disney cruise thing that’s a bit like a secret Santa. You join a fb group and are put into a smaller group with around 10 cabins and need to buy a gift for each cabin or person and they do the same. This will explain it better fouraroundtheworld.com/disney-cruise-fish-extender/
Yeah, probably cost a fortune to keep the licensing up so now they have gone all in on their own branding (a lot like it was in the early days) plus the ABC/Wiggles theming
@@Fouraroundtheworld that sucks. I’m only 18 but i remember all the older wiggles themed things when i was like 2. I’ve grown up with the dreamworld area and I was so excited when how to train your dragon came out I brought everything related to it at dreamworld. Sucks that the dreamworld area won’t be there anymore :(
Did you have permission to fly or just wing it? I’m nervous about flying in parks and getting fined, but also don’t want to waste the opportunity while traveling
@@Fouraroundtheworld yeah the app doesn’t seem to tell you about national parks but drones are banned in every Aus national park annoyingly :( just keep seeing footage of people flying within them so wondering whether I should just risk it 😂
Nice video, I was part of the crew that had to dig that track, forced labor with pick axe's and it hurt my soul to have to dig through those fossilised trees on behalf of the government, very uncool. and Traumatising. But looking at it now.. At least it's stopped people walking all over the place.. maybe
@@crystaltimberlake7449 how exciting! I think the groups are usually a standard of 10 cabins but that includes your own and some had 2 people while others had 4 so it’s a lot of people. Around 30 maybe. We don’t regret it though. Lots of fun and the kids loved it.
Thanks for filming the experience. We have a toddler and baby and were wondering when best to take them. Looks like it's better to wait till they are a bit older to get the full experience!
It’s a big expense and while your toddler will have fun, I’d wait until they are maybe at least 3. They are too little to appreciate the shows (and the late nights are tough even on bigger kids). We did the early dinner and late theatre show and that ended around 9pm maybe. It would be a little earlier with dinner second but very hungry little people. Then the fireworks and deck shows don’t start until 10:30 😳 you would still have fun but if this is a once in a lifetime sort of bucket list experience, definitely wait a couple of years.
@JoanneTan-w1e it’s pretty crazy but it’s the only way they can fit everything in as there are 2 dining sittings each night so half the guests go early and the other half go later and in reverse for the shows. I do feel they could have started even 30 minutes earlier though! Not even my big kids lasted for the last night fireworks.
We had an older van so it didn’t have these built in. They supplied a GPS. The stereo was a bit crap 😂 but there was a Bluetooth speaker near the TV in the rear for when stationary. The newer models may have these upgrades though
It was around $4700 AUD for 3 nights for 4 people, in an outside room (no balcony). It really depends on the exchange rate though for us Aussies. It got better from when we booked so I paid part off with the better rate.

Thank you so much for making a Review on Star RV since I find it hard to look for feedback from customers online. It's definitely a decent video for me to know more about the RV. It would be so kind if you could answer some questions that are worring me because I plan to took my family to New Zealand in the coming August! 1. Does Star Polaris have a Television? (I have seen some websites said that it has.) If it has a TV, is the signal stable enough for us to watch New Zealand TV programme? 2. When we collect our vehicle, are all the electricity, fuels, gas full? Or do we only get the minimum amount of electricity, fuels, and gas, and we need to full them up by ourselves. 3. When we return the vehicle, we need to fuel them up fully, right? 4. Can we book the RV first, and buy the insurance later when we collect the car? Cheers!
It does have a television. We had an older van and it wasn’t great reception in some places but so we also took a couple of DVDs which were good when tv reception was poor. It should be full for each of those things on pick up and you need to refill the fuel on return. Yes you can buy insurance on the day of pick up :)
@@Fouraroundtheworld Thank you so much for the reply! It helped me a lot!! I think it's a good choice to choose the Star RV! Wish you all the best in future trips❤️
As a former Disney super fan sadly I would have to say Disney stopped being worth the money over a decade ago. Over the decades of my fandom and numerous visits to parks I saw my money spent receive less and less in return. The final straw was when they basically instituted a lottery to access 25% of Hollywood studios on a daily basis. Now your park ticket doesn't even get you into all parts of the park. I once put a deposit down on a Disney cruise and then backed out as I learned more and more about what wouldn't be included.
Disney cruises are at least a case of almost everything included. Unfortunately the lotteries have become a normal thing in a lot of theme parks due to the volume of people. Not just Disney.
@@Fouraroundtheworld Simple fix for that would be not trying to jam say 600,000 people into a park not meant to entertain that many in a day. They won't and we all know the reasons why. 1. Greed 2. Consumers putting up with poorer and poorer experiences.
Hi. ,could you tell me what you did with your luggage, we are a family of 5 and looking at the Polaris and I can’t find anything on where suitcases . where they get stored ? Thank you Kel
I would recommend taking soft bags like the big duffle bags as storage is limited for actual suitcases. There’s a space under the rear where the cleaning stuff & any tables and chairs you hire can go and that’s about the only place they would fit for hard cases. We used packing cubes and put all our clothes in the overhead storage and soft bags underneath.
No way!!! It really is a small world sometimes. I hope you loved all yours. It was like Christmas came early. We are headed to Japan to do their Disney parks in a few months 🙌🏻 so excited!
We loved our gifts so much we turned the coaster you made into a fridge magnet so we can see it everyday is so well made and that’s so exciting I hope you all have the best time we are going on another Disney cruise in October and we cannot wait for it 😁
@@jessicadavis2735 I love that. Such a great idea! We are definitely keen to do another cruise sometime too. Waiting for them to send us a different ship which might be the end of 2025 possibly. Fingers crossed. Are you doing a longer one this time?
No just another 3 day cruise but we are bringing our mum this time and are going to have a little girls trip which will be so much fun and if they bring a new ship down we will definitely be on that one as well
You won’t have a bad time but it can be expensive compared to places that also have pools since you won’t make much use to the rest of the facilities. If you get a great deal but otherwise wait for your little one to be old enough to enjoy the slides & entertainment maybe.
Thanks for the nice overview of the Polaris. What about the storage space under the floor or at the back? Is there space for some larger luggage and bags and stuff?
There isn’t a lot. There’s a storage space in the floor that would fit suitcases but it’s also where the cleaning gear and any extras you hire go like tables and chairs. If you have extra large duffel bags, I always find these a good option for motorhome trips. Easy to store without needing much space
If you get the chance to head a few more hours north, Lady Musgrave Island from either Bundaberg or Town of 1770 is incredible! My fave snorkelling experience in Aus.
Lovely video and your children are so beautiful . Back in the 70”S when I was ten years old , I went to scenic world and as the train was moving , I hit my head and it was an old bomb train lol . Thank God the train these days is more modern and better . It was fun though .
I have been watching a lot of fish extender videos to get an idea if I do a Fish extender on my Disney Cruise…. Here in the States…. It will be my first cruise ever.
