Durante la veglia funebre di Simonetta (che si è svolta nella stanza in cui è morta) molti hanno avuto la possibilità di vederla per l’ultima volta, dandole l’ultimo saluto. Alcuni si sono raccolti per una breve preghiera. Altri per un momento di riflessione. Ricordo con particolare affetto un carissimo amico di famiglia, Gege Fratalocchi, che l'ha salutata cantandole, con la sua bellissima voce tenorile, una canzone che le piaceva molto: "Il tuo mondo". Sono sicuro che Simonetta l'avrà gradita tantissimo. Il tuo, Gege, ha rappresentato un bel modo per ricordarla e omaggiarla nel momento dell’ultimo saluto.
