Last week I detailed a BMW X3 where the wheels hasn’t been cleaned in 7 months. The brake dust was real. I thought about using one of my many iron removers that I’ve hoarded; P&S, Sonax, Gtechniq. I opted to use an acid for the first time. Holy smokes, I got away with cleaning it touchless. The face, barrels, everything was clean. As a test, afterwards I sprayed on an iron remover and saw no purple to indicate any ferrous metal contaminates. I’ve been using acids all week at work, it’s been so effective that I don’t agitate anymore! Thanks for the video.
Love this product, i use it constantly. I don't see how it could damage anything to be honest, it's acid free. You mentioned that it does have a dilution ratio which i never noticed, but still, no issues?
I'm a HUGE fan of the Griots Satin. I got away from all the super gloss after a while. I've got a nice doeskin tan 87 C10 shortbed and as "cool" as it was to have obviously dressed tires to show of that it's a "fancy" ride, it just doesn't look anywhere as good as a nice deep rich lush look. Plus I think of all the products I've used it fades very naturally and stays looking good the longest
any citrus degreaser/APC works well on wheel and especially tires. Adams Polishes Citrus Degreaser, Adams Rubber and Tire Cleaner, Labocomsetica Primus 2.0 as well. Adams Citrus Degreaser smells great like citrus candy.
I have both of those! I'd recommend the suds.lab tire/trim applicator pad instead of using a tire and wheel brush meant for agitating. They should sell it in your store.
They are both made with sodium hydroxide. Dark Fury has a citrus smell and XA has a chemical smell and they preform similarly. For me personally, suds lab is easier to get my hands on. Dark fury has more sizes such as gallon and 5 gallon through their website or O’Reilly’s.
Superior Prod is an actual manufacturer and I believe they offer production services as well. I wouldn’t doubt they’re the ones making the wheel cleaner for suds lab and just changing the name
I diluted it 4:1 and sprayed it on a panel and it did just fine. It worked well on bug guts. I would be careful not to do it in direct sunlight and not to let it dry on the panel. It did kill a spray sealant I had on the paint as well.
This is more of an Iron Remover Wheel Cleaner while Brake Buster is an alkaline cleaner. I would say they would work great together. This for the rims and Brake Buster for the tires and wheel wells. IMO
On Amazon. They are car detailing brushes also Detail Factory has some really good ones you can get on their website or the Rag Company. Sometimes you can find them at Walmart or at your Auto Parts Store.
So far this has been one of the best/easiest cleaners for the wheels without being an acid that I have tried. On the tires I will use a different product such as an apc/ degreaser. At this time I’m using P & S Undress for the tires and this for the wheels and it has been fast and effective. You could use an all in one like Brake Buster or Adam’s Polishes Wheel and Tire Cleaner to hit everything all at once, that works great for a maintained vehicle, it’s up to personal preference really.
I’m out of Brake Buster at the moment 🫤. Green Star is a very versatile product for exteriors (engine bays, paint pre-wash, wheels, tires,) and interiors (plastics, carpets, seats, leather) and highly dilutable. You really can’t go wrong with this product.
This is to be used on the tire wall not the tread. Tire dressing has UV blockers and conditioners to help maintain and protect your tire but also it adds depth to the look of the tire completing a detail. Some people don’t like tire dressings so to each their own.
The Diablo is by far the worst wheel cleaner I ever used whether it's for a maintenance wash or not. Most of it immediately drips down onto your driveway. I even tried it in a proper chemical guy's sprayer, and I even tried watering it down. Nothing worked.
@@audieconrad8995spacing out and spreading sprays instead of spraying in one spot and then moving. and i would’ve agitated the wheel instead of just rinsing. that’s a waste of product. at that rate 1 bottles going to last you 2-3 cars.
Untrue. I have a very strong pressure washer. But if I use to much pressure it’ll scratch the paint. The bronze bomber makes cleaning wheels so much easier.
I promise you a pressure washer isn’t gonna remove all that caked on brake dust 😭😭 that’s like saying you just use water to rinse off your dirty plates, or do you not use dish soap
That might be true for maintenance once the wheel has been properly cleaned and coated. A fire hose wouldn't lift baked in break dust and related contaminants.

I picked this up as soon as it the shelves ( just to try) after use i told everyone its one of the best wheel cleaners ive ever seen! I advise to use on one wheel at a time rather than spraying all 4 then cleaning later..GOOD STUFF!
