Hi... Karthik... I lost and left my Managerial Jobs for these Beastly Beauties and also left Pulsar 150cc and 180cc... I have grown up with all the British Beauties... I am Greatful to Almighty for having me a wife and kids who have been supporting me with my passion till date. I really appreciate you for appreciating me and others. For the fact that I know one more person who shares more then any other person's who is alive. As a legend in shabby and shadow shades... he is the one who documents each and every thing he does.
Eid mubarak to you. Make small tutorial videos on cast iron 350 and 500. The cast iron owners need to know the issues that they might face with cast iron engines. And how to sort out those issues. More and more awareness only can keep the old bullets running.
@Amit sure I will try to take some time out and meet your request. I am having a problem with my voice as my throat hurts while talking much. As soon as I am up with my voice first thing to do in the list is...
Hi Fazal....its a pain to see these things, new mechanics just don't know anything about Carb engines. The Art and Skill of engine Repair and Tuning is lost with time and greed of certain people, remaining is getting slow death with NGT and Motor Vehicle act. These bikes, priceless time machines, needs love and care. Doing my every bit to maintain my 1977 Bullet in good working condition, the only answer is to document everything about your bike and start learning how to repair, adjust and tune. Fazal what you have said is absolutely right CI engine bike is a curse today....no mechanic wants to touch it. Thats why for past 10-12 years I have been doing everything on my bike myself. Fazal I have a question for you... I want to replace the Inner Primary Case, my bike has 6 volt Alternator with adapter plate, Can a later Inner Case(Part No 111889) be fitted in my bike after removing the adapter plate for Alternator? Regards
Hi.... Anil.... Thanks for Your valuable response to my video. I think I have a Practical Answer to your question, for primary casing. Stay tuned I will make a video for the same.
Don't get disheartened my friend, I have seen far worse that that! Oil pump drive shaft stripped teeth, loose flywheels, bent conrod and piston seized in the cylinder at such a speed when it happened, that it lifted the cylinder off the crankcase and pulled all studs out of the crankcase! .....It rebuild just fine!

If it's the latest bike then synthetic with company recommended grades. (Mobil/wourth/Castrol & Yahama has good synthetic oils too) if it is a old Cast Iron breed then 20w50 or 20w40 only mineral oil. I prefer to change oil on or before 2700kms. If the synthetic oil. If the oil company claims 10000kms the I would prefer to change at 8000kms.
The 24 roller cages bearing is best always. If you do not get it, then you need to go with the latest available source. I can search one if you need so.
Sir i have a 350 std 2009 model. It is in perfect stock condition. 38000 km only. I want to keep the bike running for next 10 15 years. What parts should I buy and store. As parts are going rare every day.
Pretty much everything which goes into the 3 units, which is Timing gears, governor units (distributor / CB), and rockers followed by complet gearbox and whatever goes into it, clutch assembly, clutch plates, clutch center.
YOU ARE NOT CORRECT!. That is a pressure relief valve, not a non return valve. It was fitted to prevent high oil pressure during cold starts, building up in the rocker feed pipes, which then puts immense strain on the oil pump drive shaft. This high pressure can and will, strip the drive gear teeth on the oil pump drive gear. I have replaced many drive shafts through this problem. Cold thick oil cannot pass quickly enough through the rocker feeds, that's why the oil pump drive shafts fail. It has nothing to do with stopping the engine smoking!
@Volcanicbrown1878. Thank You very much for helping and sharing your knowledge with me. I will keep this information in my mind forever. God Bless You.
@@mzycustoms You are very welcome! You will probably be ok in India, where the weather is a lot warmer than it is here in the uK so your oils will be a lot thinner because of the higher ambient temperature. I noticed that the Indian Bullet's after 1977, have no pressure relief valve fitted from the factory as it seems it is not really needed for your country. Royal Enfield India never intended for the CI Bullets to be exported to the UK so It was not a problem! I have several Indian Bullets both 350 and 500 variants and all have suffered from oil pump drive problems, so I have fitted the pressure relief valves to one or two of them and now, no more stripped teeth on the drive shafts! It's a problem that we get if we ride in the winter months where the temperature is often below freezing! God Bless you too my friend!
@@mzycustoms My content?? I had a bit of a fall out with RU-vid, But my content will be put back online when I have sorted it out with them! Here is a quick video I did, where I explain the oil pump problem! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c6qn5-itwI8.html
Hi Kunal I don't have a work shop as such. I work from home. Well, looking for a place, with some good space to work on bikes. Where are you located currently.
On a slow cruise, 3 km was for sure. On a fast ride spark use to be more brighter. Bike use to slightly overheat too... on an stock vm28 with one step lifted
