Saving money and eating healthy. I cook, I organize, I make messes, I love food. And I like to eat (mostly) healthy. If I can save money and eat healthy, anyone can.

Love tour ideas! We live near a regenerative farm and the meat is so healthy and so nourishing. We try yo take advantage of their sales, and buy a half cow, a sheep, and pork in bulk for our freezer and use it wisely. I struggle with chicken, as true free range healthy is so expensive. We buy the "free range" thighs from the store occasionally, but I rarely eat chicken now due to the high cost. I'm fine with a mostly vegetarian menu, but my husband NEEDS meat! You are so right about the duality in a relationship. 😂

How long should i mix with the hook
@CheapskateCook
@CheapskateCook 2 дня назад
I usually mix it for about 5 minutes. It depends on what kind of mixer you have, so be sure to follow the manufacturer instructions.

Thank you so much for this fantastic recipe! I baked one this morning and now my daughter and I are enjoying our morning teatime😋😋😋 It is so versatile too that I can use up the stevia I bought some time ago. Also added walnuts and the left over blueberries 👍👍👍

'm a senior in San Diego. My partner and I spend about$1,000 a month on food including eating out 2x a week. That's a lot. I do not eat meat but I buy a little for my partner. I do not eat eggs or milk be he does. We eat a lot of beans and potatoes and lentils and salads and fruits, nuts seeds. I make nourishing soups with veggies and beans in my crockpot ,,,,,,,,if you like soups you can make a few in large amounts every so often and freeze what you don't eat in a day or two. that way you'll always have some soups on hand. In the old days, for most people, meals were simple: porridge for breakfast, soups for lunch, and a stew for dinner. Easy to plan your meals around a single dish, possibly supplementing it with a salad or vegetable side dish. Think of pasta with a topping, or rice covered with a sauce, or just plain soup and wholesome bread.

It depends on where you get it, but you can expect to pay between $200-$300. Sometimes you can find them second hand for much less!

This is what I’m aiming for. The cheapest place with adequate square footage to work towards being debt free. We are considering a 1 bedroom and haven’t had kids yet but know people do it especially in high cost living areas like New York. I don’t want to have a large place and lots of area to clean. Even when the kids grow up and leave the nest, I like knowing I won’t have to downsize.

Your townhome I think is plenty big for 5. And you have 3 boys so that’s easy, they can all room together. Your townhouse is beautiful. Do you have 1 1/2 baths or two? Everyone should downsize. People get a little nuts on their square footage. It is a waste of money. You are doing the right thing.

Thank you! I love these! ideas! Inflation is killing us! I struggle because my husband needs 4000 clean calories a day to maintain his healthy weight so it is like feeding a second large adult male, I have a toddler who is pretty open to ideas, but unpredictable in her food decisions, and we try to also incorporate locally sourced regeneratively raised meat, so it is a challenge! This is so helpful!
