It’s pretty convenient that I suffer from osteonecrosis, which led to a calcium deficiency, which makes me need to drink a shit ton of milk. I’m on to you Dick Cheney 😒
@wendi I loved your telling of the story and your analysis at the end. I felt like this story had a very satisfactory ending to it in the sense that its explanation and resolution was commensurate in bizarre-ness as the story itself. However, I can't help but to abhore this story. I feel as though the framework and the very structure of what it sums up to is horrendously blasphemous. It seems to be a mockery of the true creator, the God of the Bible. The final explanation of the horrors witnessed throughout the story are a 1 to 1 inverted image of God's Sovereignty and holiness. The true God is in control of everything that occurs. The true God works everything together for the good of those who love Him, to his praise and Glory, whereas the spiral works everything together for its own glorification, purely through means of destruction, pain, and terror. To be in the presence of the true God is to be captured by his awful majesty, beauty, perfection and goodness unto you, whereas to be in the presence of the spiral is to be inflicted by an instantaneous Stockholm syndrome from an unfeeling, yet sadistic ultimate being. I do not ascribe intent to the author for attacking the Christian religion in this manner, however this is the ultimate reason why people are drawn to horror. It perverts the natural and the beautiful. The laughter of a child heard in an abandoned structure in the dark is terrifying because it inverts the joy it is to be blessed with children from the Lord. By the same standard, although this work may not be the scariest, in my book it is still among the lowest (or highest) class of horror: because it inverts the nature of the most beautiful and holy being in the universe, and his relationship with his image bearers. And I hate it
In chapter seven, the spiral is subtlety mentioned by pointing out the spring was the shock of the car that hit him. The spring is the only spiral shape in the chapter beside the cremation smoke.
I know the time setting was talked about pretty early on in regards to if it's in the cold war or not, but I just wanted to point out that one of the first episodes states 2014 in the top left of the broadcast. "2014/11/21"
I remember there being an aerial battle between the US and USSR during WW2 that remains classified. Its unclear who shot first or why from the few eye witness testimonies we have.
Also wanted to mention. "Evil doctors" who sacrificed days of their life into tireless work trying to keep one man alive. Who went to every length imaginable to do the impossible, and champion the greatest survival story ever told if they were sucessful(They would all be legends if they actually saved him) "Selfish family" who spent every waking moment of their life being by their loved one's side through his suffering, always motivating him to pull through certain death. "A man who just wanted to die" who gave every indication that he was fighting every second to live for his family. Who's heart literally was shown to have kept beating even when every other system was dead. This wasn't a story of cruel human experimentation, it was a story of a man and his doctor's fighting an uphill battle against actual certain death who sadly lost.
Hey man, I made it to 30 minutes this video and kind of got bored but it’s not your fault. I just had the attention span of a goldfish. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re doing great
two interesting facts! randy cut the barrel within legal limits however was asked to cut it HALF AN INCH below the limit! also the media constantly said randy was using his daughters as a human shield whilst walking out.. which is so sad
This is one of MovieBob/Bob Chipman's favorite scenes due to how cathartic it is to him. Not for good reasons mind you. It's because he's a feminist social justice activist atheist who hates Christianity. The edgy fedora tipping r/atheist type. Which isn't surprising since he's pretty evil. There are people who can't tell the difference between things he has said and things that Nazis have said.
You said that Satan had only a few forms but when he first arrives in Eden he jumps between the many forms of the creatures around in order to get closer to Adam and Eve. So I took it that he used many forms in order to fulfil his task. But I love your video and it got me reading again. Just read Dante’s inferno
years later, probably figured out by now but i’ll just say it for anyone scrolling through! S EN refers to a youtube channel with a bunch of short videos depicting a story, most of not all videos compiled on the channel are incomprehensible. i like the art style though! search it up if you wanna learn more. it was featured on a parallel pipes video.
An essential clarification: it's the HALIFAX slasher, not the Haliflax slasher. Halifax is a town in Yorkshire in the UK. And also a buildings society.
My aunt makes dolls, the creepy ceramic type. She and her family used to live in rural oklahoma in an old farm housewith several out buildings and a couple barns, my siblings and I would hang out with our cousins there a lot, we are basically the adams family so the dolls didnt bother us so we would move some of the dolls around. I kniw there are still a few in the tornado shelter, so sorry to whoever owns that property now, im sure hiding from a tornado was a bit more traumatic with dolls stairing at you the whole time.
The bit after the heart attacks truly sounds like this worlds version of necromancy. Just keeping a person alive through only science (basically magic)
Man, I'm not religious in the slightest. But Bible lore is very cool. Imagine the books of the Bible as written being adapted into a TV show or some shit. Of course it would piss off like 99% of the Bible Book Club cause none of them can agree on what is and isn't correct. But who cares about what they think, I want a GOT level kind of show but based on Bible lore
That part where you explained how the saying used to be: "You can't eat your cake and have it too." finally expained something Ive been wondering. I've always thought the saying was stupid and nonsensical because saying "You can't have your cake and eat it too." sounds more like you recieve a cake and then eat it, which you can obviously do (duh), but the original sounds more like you eat a cake and then keep it as decortion or something, which makes a lot more sense because you can in fact not do that... Why is the English language so damn stupid? 😂
Thank you. I'd been meaning to read Uzumaki since the "The darkest story" video but hadn't. This video pushed me to read this terrific work and I'm NOT sorry that I waited so long to watch, cause reading his work with virgin eyes was worth the wait. Thank you, Iceberg Boy. Much love
Not sure if someone already commented it (I'm 9 months late and there are a lot of comments), but just in case, a fun fact: In the room where the door to Hell is, there is a light purple sign above it with a reversed cruicifice. On its right side, the word "Deebook" is written in Hebrew, Deebook being a form of a demon in Jewish mistysism which possesses people. On the left side is the Arabic word "Djinn", originally a desert-demon in pre-Islamic Arabic folklore which today mostly just means "demon". I thought it's pretty cool. (Source - native Hebrew speaker and Jewish, I can also understand a bit Arabic and am familiar with Islamic and Arabic traditions).
Now all AM can do is watch. He cannot enjoy this anymore, for if he EVER makes a mistake, the only thing he has left could slip away. AM is in the Hell he has earned. He is on permanent watch duty.
