Stalking my RU-vid? Thank you for the views!! I am not scared of my snakes, I feed them with tongs for my own safety & I keep the glass shut as much as needed so they don’t fling out of the enclosure! It’s a good habit to keep the glass closed in my reptile room as a lot of the snakes are high up & I wouldn’t want them getting injured!
The little guy looks like he had smth to drink 😂 btw i have a question how do i get my leopard gecko to eat? For the past month he/she hasn't been eating, he/she used to eat quickly and i used to feed him/her meal worms until recently he/she has been glass surfing and ive had him/her since november 2023. When i got him/her they said they didn't know if he/she was 2 or 3 months old they also didn't know the gender. Ive held him a couple times but i haven't held him for months, he also won't shed some of his skin. Ive gave him crickets AND meal worms idk what else to do.
It’s not good for a Leo to eat so little in that time frame so I believe it’s a vet trip that’s needed as he could be suffering from a multitude of different issues. As for the stuck shed, I’ve never had an issue with this so it could be due to health issues or enclosure issues. Glass surfing can mean anything from wanting food to wanting to come out. I personally feed my Leo’s Locusts & Mealworms with an occasional wax worm every couple months. I always add calcium to the food and I’ve never had issues with them eating!
@@bjgreptiles thank you this is very helpful, one of my friends told me they had a bearded dragon and they bathed them and scrubbed them with a tooth brush. In my opinion I don't think it seems like a great idea to do that but I'm not an expert. Also I cannot stick my hand in a cage for the life of me if there are crickets in the cage 😭😂
absolutely love hognoses, i remember getting mine when i was about 17 and now i’m pushing 23 and his personality hasn’t changed a bit, still a hissy and defensive snake but never bothers biting at all. heavily recommend them as a first for that reason. it’ll help getting over the fear of a hissy reptile.
They’re definitely unique snakes, I love mine endlessly. My first snake was a Lampropeltis Mexicana Mexicana and he was similar when young! He always used to hiss and was very flighty, glad he eventually grew out of it. Had him from 2018 to Christmas last year, unfortunately he passed away from a very rare cancer in reptiles but he lived a lot longer than anyone anticipated. He and my Hognose are responsible for my love of reptile for sure!
@@bjgreptiles i’m very sorry to hear that, im sure they were an amazing snake. any snakes from the lampropeltis family make absolutely amazing pets, i picked up an elapsoides and he’s been a treat and will be my first ever breeding project!
I’ve been gone for a week now on most socials. This is because of personal issues with my now ex. I won’t go into detail but im looking for a new place to live, all my animals, my boys and myself are happy and healthy but im not able to record videos of any length atm due to trying to move! Thanks for the understanding and I’ll get back to uploading when I can.
@bjgreptiles I'm really sad about it. Unfortunately, the only option is to put her down. I'd rather do that instead of letting her continue to suffer 😔
@@shadowpumpkin8019 it’s an unfortunate circumstance, owning animals can be a really upsetting. One day I’ll have to do the same, I’m just making the most of everyday until then.
Apologies for the lack of sound, there’s an updated video coming very soon that actually has the sound this time! The file corrupted while uploading and was already uploaded by the time I noticed!!
Don’t forget to like, comment & subscribe! I do many more videos which are both entertaining and informative! I’ll also be starting to livestream soon!
Personally I would pair with a darker patterned snake, the lesser will be a reducer, BUT don’t take my word for it do your thing man, the pinstripe would be awesome…
@@bjgreptiles one of my favourite morphs is enchi, I’ve seen from mutation creation that it mixes well with other morphs such as lesser, just shooting the suggestion out there again I’m no breeder so your thing it will be exciting!!
@@aaronleslie1581 I appreciate the suggestion! I do intend on getting an enchi at some point in the future and I’d definitely be interested in breeding one with Bernard (my lesser yellowbelly)!
