People sure bite. Don't know how to recognize greatness. My Dad was 25 when he made this beautiful album. He is so the man... listen to those riffs, and already establishing that impeccable tone...
Big Can fan since our last bassist turned me onto them way late in 2017.... can't believe they were so submerged back in their time. Guess it was not meant as pop music thank god. Karoli is one of the all time greats, unlike anyone else. Great violinist as well .... and Leibezeit on drums was as good as anyone, Jaki's playing here reminds me a bit of Ian Pace of Deep Purple. David Izenzon of Ornette Coleman fame playing the arco bass here. He later got a Ph.D. in psychotherapy and started a group named Potsmokers Anonymous to help people who felt they were addicted to pot, according to his New York Times Obituary in 1979. The track also has Teddy Smith on pizzicato bass, and Herbie Hancock and Jim Hall trying not to step on each others toes. I'm not sure this one really came together, but it shows Sonny reaching for something at a time when the music was really starting to expand way beyond hard bop.

@@Sergio-tn8rw jamais entendu,meme pas classé dans les hits,pas non plus dans ses titres qui ont le plus marché, faites un micro trottoir vous verrez que ce titre est meconnu.....sauf des accrocs qui achetaient tous ses disques et pour tout dire apres l'avoir écouté, je comprends pourquoi personne connait...peu etre passait il en boite mais juste là alors pour le rythme....mais bon rien de sensationnel et moi je suis né en 1960 pour l'exemple,il suffit de voir ke nombre de personne qui l'ont écouté et plébiscité et vous avez la reponse
