We used Abeka Math for grades K & 1st and Easy Peasy Math & CTC for 2nd grade. I've considered going back to Abeka, but I may just put her in CTC math with my older kids.

Hi :) I am thinking of adding this as quick review/practice for my 8.5 year old . We use IEW for writing and Learning Language Arts Through Literature. Did you find switching from TGTB it was considerably more gentle in its approach ?
Thanks for sharing this. I am kicking myself for not getting this. I ended up getting the new good and beautiful level k but I think this is way better!
We started with TGTB for LA and after level 2 I've been researching for something else for grade 3... was considering LLATL. Why did you drop that (years ago)? So hard to find reviews on it! LLFLE looks good too :)
Thank you so much for this video! I love TGATB so much, and I love their spelling cards, but I am loving how it looks like Masterbooks weaves in the Bible and spelling a little more!!
Great video! We're in the same boat, have used TGATB for the past couple years and just finished L2, now switched to Masterbooks, mainly because of its biblical content which just wasn't integrated in the same way with TGATB. We're starting on Level 3 Language Lessons and also do a 4 day school week so helpful to know how you have made that work with the curriculum. I've heard so many good things about it, can't wait to get started!
How are you liking the curriculum, 2 years later? And may God bless you in the almighty name of Yeshua ha'Moshiach, amen! ❤ Love to all who read this ❤ spreading the love of Yeshua through my love for you ❤
I introduce the spelling words on day 1 and do a spelling test on Friday. The study sheets can be used as grammar recitation. The dictionary section I have them look up the words and write or say it in a sentence. It covers everything you just have to use your resources
Thank you for taking the time to share this video. Do you still like and use the program? If so, would you say that this is an all-in-one language arts program or are supplements needed? Thank you for taking the time to respond back. I truly appreciate it.
Hi! Thanks for this review ☺ Im thinking to use this for next school year for a first grader, I just want to ask you if they have a placement test for this courses, or just go with the age and grade level? Blessings 😉
Found your channel while looking for reviews on HOD. We are currently in my fathers world 1st grade curriculum and it's not looking to be a good fit for my son. I love it but he doesn't. Lol. He will be 6 in march and I was looking at beyond for him. Would you recommend staying in the lower end? We have never done HOD before so it would be brand new to us.
I would choose the lowest manual for his age range. My son did Beyond at age 6, but if I could do it all over again I would choose the manual below Beyond.
thank you for this! We're one month into our second year of homeschooling using the full ABeka video curriculum and I'm already thinking of making the switch to HOD, next Fall at the latest. My oldest is in 1st grade and we absolutely LOVED ABeka videos for kindergarten but 1st grade is sooooo long and we're miserable. I think that my youngest (in pre-K at a preschool this year) would love HOD so I'm thinking of trying to homeschool both of them using the same book next year but I'm not sure! They will be 2nd grade and kindergarten, and will have just turned 8 and 6. What to do?? I don't know. But thanks so much for the advice and thorough review.
I so wish I could put my kids in one guide! They are 12 and 13. My son who is 13 is a very good reader, my daughter who is 12 is still working on it...
