The extraordinary South African pianist and composer Charl du Plessis is among the most influential and dynamic musicians of his generation. In just over a decade his distictive interpretation of Classics and Jazz has attracted critical acclaim and loyal audiences. Charl's abundant talents and joyous enthusiasm make his concerts both memorable and inspiring.
This percussion pair of the Conga/Tumba drums with its accompanying cylindrical shaker was perfectly executed being the 'Soul' of this popular Bossa Nova song 'The Girl/Boy From Ipanema'. Hope I identify above percussion instruments correctly. The mastery fingering movements of the piano keys is so far one of the best improvisations of above lively song that I have heard and seen. The beautiful fingering piano movements had done full justice to the brillant composer of above song Antonio Carlos Jobim. The violin/viola, bass and the guitar were too perfectly rhymed and skillfully played. I truly enjoyed seeing and hearing this RU-vid video everytime I am on the internet using my mobile or laptop. By the way this video was well shot especially the dim lighting in the background. Cheers. I love this piece of wonderful music ❤
Thank you so much for this beautiful rendition of this much loved melody. The tinkering of chrystal bells from the Steinway. There is a hymn,"O God Our Help In Ages Past,"some of the lyrics.(Music calms the savage breast,Th'is manner for the hungry soul,And to the weary rest.)This is what beautiful music does for me. Briljant ... Ons het dieselfde teacher gehad ... ek was dalk nie so begaafd soos jy nie, maar my liefde vir klavier is nog altyd daar en speel nou rond met Jazz. Sterkte vir jou.
@@jenniferlobel7190 I completely understand he chose the Imperial - that wonderful mellow tone is unmistekable. he shouldn`t tell his steinway sponsors, though
I've like her from the beginning but too many Christian songs 🎵. She needs to widen her horizons and embrace songs in other belief systems . G'day from Australia 🇦🇺 :) 😀
I can't help but to come back to this video... this ought to be right up there in my three favourite jazz tracks, along with Kurt Elling's Moonlight Serenade, and Bill Evans' You Must Believe In Spring. This recording is for sure better than the original.
In fact what Amira happens to do!! compared to its natural!!!!! in the field!! she transforms and changes her personality!! it becomes the field and the music at the same time!!!
