Hey Everyone and welcome to my channel! I am truly passionate about hunting, conservation, and the outdoors. I believe in keeping it real and showing that women can be skilled, knowledgeable, and do not need to flaunt themselves in order to achieve something great. Follow along if you want, or don't. The choice is yours. I primarily hunt DIY on public land and believe you can never stop learning or improving so this channel is dedicated to my journey. -Kaitlyn Maus
Looks pretty good but I would probably slim down that med pouch and put it inside the pack. That is a lot on the hip belt. Just my Opinion. Good luck with your hunts
As soon as I saw the Kydex pistol holder on the waistband I started screaming at the TV, something like: Heck yeah! But more profane because I was stoked. I’m already sub’ed but if I wasn’t I would sub again just on seeing the holster alone. Good luck young lady. 🏹🦌💘
Classic Midwest recipe. If you haven't heard of this, you're probably not from here. I like to melt some butter into the barbecue sauce and jelly (slowly, so you don't break it), and use cold, unsalted butter, lard, or tallow (butter is my favorite) in the venison instead of the egg. It takes a little extra time to chill them down again to firm up, but it's absolutely worth the extra half hour.
All you western hunters with iPhone 14 and newer remember with iOS 18 you can send text messages, update your location, and call emergency responders via satellite for free.
Yep just figured this out the other day. I was in the woods and lost service. People don’t realize that you can use gps (onx, HuntWise, spartan forge tracking) without connection. It’s pretty accurate at pinpointing your location too. Just keep your phone charged and you’re good to go.
Really excited to see your video of this elk hunt with Brit. I bowhunted with 2 other friends. Too many details to go through on what we figured out when hunting elk up high, in Colorado. The last couple times we went, there was a competition on who could carry the minimal stuff in their pack. Mine was 60lbs. The other was 63, and then one was 45lbs. How he only had that little weight, I could not figure out, because he seemed to have the same amount of stuff as me, but then I carried the water filter pump. We had a lot of fun, that was for sure. Good luck to you ladies! Stay safe, Kaitlyn.
Some things may end up staying in the tent, but I like to be prepared if possible. Never apologize for the emotions and excitement. That'd what true hard work and determination looks like and the rewards are extreme!. Great work, great hunt, and great recovery. I'm in my 30s and don't think I didn't get emotional when I shot my biggest buck of my life, and I'll never top him.
