I'm no professional mechanic but I'm not scared to jump into things. I use RU-vid for a lot of information and would like to give some back. Let my mistakes help your project go easier.

I've had this same issue on my truck for a couple of months now and it's been intermittent. First thing the mechanic told me was to change the wheel speed sensor so we did that. Then it was about to be the master cylinder, CV shaft, and wheel hub. I just ordered the connector piece and Marine shrink wrap tubing. Should be here Thursday and I pray this is the repair needed.

Dude! Nice job! You are not a mechanic like myself but you would've made a good one. When the "stealership" quoted me 1800 plus tax, I saved 2100 thanks to your great viddy. You are the only person who does this repair/upgrade on a more current Ram Pentastar V6. Next time spray all electrical connectors with QD Sensor spray cleaner first. It drys fast AF and will make some easier. I am not a pro but have fair amount of experience. After watching your video, it took me three hours. That included cleaning everything up as well as the empty long necks! kudos
@notamechanic153
@notamechanic153 5 месяцев назад
Thanks for the props bro. I'll try that QD sensor spray out. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I had no idea. The stealership is just ridiculous. I understand they need to make profit but fuck...how extreme are they going to get.

YOU ARE AWESOME SIR! I am almost ready to mount the oil filter housing and wanted to say THANK YOU FOR all of the knowledge and know-how that you put into this video, and ALL of your video's! My valley looked as bad if not worse then yours, and they replaced it at 65K miles. I am now at 107K. But this time, I am putting on the Dorman metal housing...don't know if it will help, only time will tell. I have watched all of your videos. What's funny, is I couldn't understand how you were reaching the furthest back areas....until I caught one part where you said you were standing on the cross member! Holy crap. I'm 60 and certainly not thin...so because of you, I was able to do this! Yes, I am slow. Again, a HUGE THANK YOU for helping out the 'normal' man that is just trying to save a buck or two..in this case...over $1500 bucks! Happy New Year to you and your family! Semper Fi!

Hey man, I dont know why you stopped making videos, but you should definitely stick with it. You are one of the rare "diy mechanic type" RU-vidrs who is relatable, not boring, and includes all the necessary information an average joe needs to get the job done. You saved me a ton of time and money. Keep it up, even if it is repairing small or simple things. A little time and you will find yourself monetized.

That retainer clip I broke is on the bottom side of the connector I believe. You just have to pull it to disengage. Then the hose pulls off super easy. I just happened to snap that clip.
