Hi Mr . Roman Kucera , Thank you to share with me this tutorial about the popup messages . I have a problem, How to change the size of this popup window. //M(Message/"this"//////"#505050")Is it in this line to change?
Hello SinuGuru, thank you for that video. It demonstrates in a very good way how to create additional dialogs for Sinumerik controllers using easyXML. But one thing in minute 48.23 : The control should have a name. For instance: <control name="my_control" xpos= …. > </control> According to the documentation the format attribute defines the display format. The operation instruction should be used to assign a text to the control. <op>my_control = _T"text1"</op> Then you need the update_control - tag to make the text visible. <update_controls type="true"/> The second solution would be to use a string variable to hold the text. <let name="my_text" type="string">text1</let> This variable can be assigned to the control as reference variable. <control name="my_control" xpos="305" ypos="$my_ypos" width="160" height="100" refvar=" my_text" hotlink="true"> </control> This has the advantage that no update_control is necessary, and the text will be automatically change if the variable my_text is changed.
Hello Mr. Kucera, thank you for this marvelous video, I was looking for training content like this for months without succsess, until now, thanks to you. I must say there are still some open questions on my side. For example, do you happened to know how can I read data from LUD with refvar? What is the exact address of LUD variables? Will you share your e-mail address with me in case of future questions about this topic?
Hello, thank you for your interest. Unfortunately there is no way how to pass LUD to Easy xml. LUD variables are created and cleared with cycle where are defined, therefore you have to use GUD variables or R variables. The GUD and R variables are written in ini files on your F drive therefore you can read them in easy xml or easyscreens. My email is sinumerikguru@gmail.com
Thanks for your work! It is a useful tutorial and a very substantive presentation for everybody. Please allow me one more question. Do you use the PUD variables at your work? If so what cases? Do you have any experience with the use of global variables in the program?
Yes I’m using very often global variables in cycles. They helping to pass or hold information in cycles. Good example of use are Siemens measuring cycles. They populate results in _OVR variables.
Hi' Mr. Roman Kucera, Thank you to share with us this tutorial about the popup messages. I wanted to look the programming of it up for a long time. I use the PC version of the Sinutrain OP 04.04.02 day by day. So I tried to follow your instructions step by step on my PC. Unfortunately, I couldn't create popup messages on my screen, but there were no error messages, that I made any mistakes during the programming. This is so odd. I suspect that my popup.com fil is not in the correct directory. Or need this function needs more additional settings on my PC? Could you help m to find the cause of the error?
Hello, Thank you for your interest. Is it your popup.com placed at Siemens/Sinutrain/Sinumerik(your versionn)/hmi/oem/hmi/proj? Did you restart completely your Sinutrain? You also running older version of easyscreens so this version maybe doesn't support hex colour numbers. Try remove #505050 from your popup.com.
@@sinuguru4940 Eureka! I have found it. I also have to say- mea culpa - that I made the mistake. I mistyped one of the letters in a command line. My pop-up window works! Thank you for the help!
Hello, thank you for your helpfull videos 👍 I have a question, is it possible to engrave numbers and letters (with engrave cycle) on diameter of a cylinder with 840dsl? Machine: 5axis Mikron Mill P 800
Thank you for your interest, and also for your question. I’ll try next week create video about easyscreen.ini where I’ll explain everything about this file.

Hi, I’m planning to release this one around mid January.

@@sinuguru4940 man that's Christmas before Christmas! 🎁 How's the db built? Special format tabular text files? Idea immediately comes to mind to code a Fusion 360 tool library export script 😍
