Valami egészen extra ez a videó! A dobjáték szenzációs, és a kamera is szavakkal leírhatatlanul tökéletes!! Élmény volt nézni, hallgatni!! Hatalmas elismerés!
I just stumbled upon your video and thought i would check it out, first i would like to say that you have some good drumming skills and are a far better drummer than I am so please don't take my question the wrong way. I have noticed that every drummer that cover's Blink with travis on drums try's to or plays exactly like travis, they have their drums set up the same way, cymbals, use the same sticks from what I can tell, the same mannerisms, and some even wear their hats like him and bob up and down like he does. My question to you is did you have your own style or personality when you played the drums before you started listen to Travis 182 I mean Blink 182? Again I am not saying you can't play because you obviously can it was just something I noticed about all the Travis drummer fans.
This kit layout has had widespread use across genres since Buddy Rich, minimalist with optimal ergonomics. It's a drum cover so the goal is to play as close to the original as one's skill will allow; matching the showmanship (which is excellent and worthy of aspiring to) is icing on the cake. Using the same type of sticks will more closely match the sound than others. They are also a great durable stick for heavy hitters. I, like many, can't stand when drummers covering songs live improvise too much for songs when the original grooves and fills are what make the song and why people listen to it. Edit: it's been 7 years since this comment and I see you use a similar layout to Travis's default with an extra cymbal and what appear to be his signature sticks as well, in addition to playing covers that closely match the originals. Looks like you've explored answers to these questions in the years since, but I'm going to leave this comment up for others who see this thread. Great playing, by the way!
