Yeah, that is something I'm going to have to work on pretty hard. I've taken an hiatus but expect to start producing some more videos in the coming months. Today we officially "broke ground" on a shop to hold the start of a machine shop so I can quit working in my drive way.
I’m in the process right now of putting this transmission into my 2000 Dodge 2500hd Cummins, I’m getting a custom, and newly designed 1 3/8”input shaft made to fit my south bend dual disc clutch! Quickdrawbrand sells this transmission with a 29 spline output which fits right on the 241 dhd t cases. Only thing I needed to do was shorten my rear driveshaft 4” and wait on the new shaft, hopefully see it in a few weeks. Can’t wait to try it out
@ppump24valve53 Can you give some more information on your input shaft? Who made it for you? I am looking to do the same clutch setup in a 70s Ford Cummins Swap.
@@JS-5095 Liberty’s Gears in Michigan, look them up online, Mine is the first 1 they have designed and made, still did not ship the parts yet.. I’ll warn you.. it might take months.. but they did say they would make a number of them, because they have already had other people asking about it… 9 months of waiting.. first 4 months.. didn’t touch it. They also had to buy the correct tooling, which set it out another 2 months. they are super busy i guess with building racing transmissions.. seems like they hardly wanted to give me the time of day, but everyone that gets work done there says it takes forever, but its done right. Haven’t found another company who would think about it. Idk why Tremec doesn’t offer more options for input shafts but I guess (hopefully) that time will come.
That’s a very clean install! I just might have to get up the courage to cut my front crossmember out and copy you. Leave it to us FSJ owners ti have a spare frame laying around for mock-up!
I can get you the measurements if you'd like. I've strongly considered producing them but the market most likely isn't there. I make LS swap mounts and receiver hitches already.
