We are meant to be a party of rationalists - we defend religious beliefs as a means of creating a diverse and unified society. However, as a party, when did we decide to align ourselves with the most reactionary mass religious movement at the party. We betray every gay, trans, female, free-thinking individual by giving any credence to any religion. You cannot be a Marxist and believe in God or whatever comfort blanket the masses choose. We are playing identity politics in the place of class politics - we are giving Farage, Trump, Truss, Le Pin and every other scumbag right-winger an open goal by defending some pretty dodgy ideologies, but this one takes the biscuit and even violates Lenin's 'split and absorb' strategy to grow the mass party. You cannot split a Muslim from their faith anymore than splitting the night from the day.

Israel is not a colony or an imperial project. Secondly, put down your feelings and actually listen to what she's saying instead of immediately getting triggered because she said some buzzwords that you didn't like. This is about the incels and misogynists who see women as inferior and only deserving of existance when they're caring for children. The type who think that women being homemakers is the only valid and morally upstanding way to live, which is just factually false. No ones' saying women and men who CHOOSE your lifestyle arrangement are bad people. We're saying that young women should be educated on what it means to be a wife, a mother, and a homemaker and if that lifestyle is for them. Every young person deserves that choice, and we're fighting against people who want to take away women's rights to decide their own futures.
@davefarley4318 Agreed. It's very strange that people think of traditional marriage as oppressive or abusive, particularly when traditional husbands accept a role of provide and protector. I suspect that this misrepresentation is borne from childhood experiences in which their own father abandoned or abused them and/or his wife, but who knows.
I don’t think anything’s wrong with wanting a “trad wife”. People have preferences, and some prefer a family order where the woman does housekeeping and takes care of the kids while they work. “Sigmas” were a complete joke and almost everyone thinks of it as one. Only a few people, usually ones with mental disorders, actually take it seriously. “Alphas” are a real concept in animals but no one really pays attention to them in humans. I do believe they exist in some sort - in terms of a person in a group with much respect, but there’s not really much too it other than that.

@@douglaspouch5313 "This option is just not available to most." Do you have a source for that claim? I think it depends on many different factors. Where exactly you live is one, and whether or not the husband's willing to work full-time would be another. Also, tradwives save quite a bit of money if they cook from scratch, when compared to eating out or buying convenient groceries.

This was a great meeting except the Criticism of Sinn Fein, SF, President and vice President, Mary Lou and Michelle spoke to the Palestinian ambassador to Ireland about meeting Biden on St Paddy's Day before they left and they used that visit to voice their support for Palestine and opposing the Genocide in Gaza to Biden's face, which they did, and on wobbling on immigrants they increased their vote especially in the North and despite the attacks from Irish Facists they held their ground, yes there were some probs but every party in Ireland suffered because of the rise of The Extreme Right in Ireland and the way immigrants were used to turn local people against SF and other Left parties. Sinn Fein will recover and go on to lead the unification of Ireland as a 32 County, Democratic Socialist Reublic.
