Just loved his complete docu mentary called Sugar Man. His voice is so velvetty still.

Not just South Africa. Huge in australia first. toured. live album recorded. why is this left out. i have all his vinyl. originals. anyway,... so happy to see him well and getting recognition.

The song 'Sugarman' is used in the movie Candy with Heath Ledger (2006). Guess he's not that forgotten.

The Afrikaans of the Cape Muslims is a good book. Dr Achmat Davids is the author. I haven't read it but hear its a good book.

Afrikaans was originally spoken by the Malay slaves and was adopted by Scottish, French, German, Belgian and Dutch settlers who formed the "Afrikaner" group, there was nobody to teach Dutch early in the European settlement, so they incorporated Dutch with Malay etc.. Abit more than what you wanted to know! haha

I saw the movie about 5 days ago. I LOVED IT!!!! What a great story. And boy, did we miss out as Americans. But as Sixto says, "It's never too late." I bought the soundtrack and it has been playing on the loop. My experience with the movie Searching for Sugar Man and listening to Sixto gives me goosebumps! It is maddening that the Big record companies and radio station keep some of the best talents away from us..... Never to late... I love his music!!! and love the story!
