Someday someone will figure out from watching the wonderful deleted scenes from so many movies, that when it comes to movies with good plots and good actors, less is not more
Technically these are not all "deleted" scenes, like the one where Gordo is talking about killing the horses in France after Normandy. The version that made it to the final cut has Michaeel Penã deliver Gordos speech more subdued, and the deleted version wherse he is near hysterical was not used. Now the scene where Gordo is gesturing a sexual act with a chocolate bar to the German lady - that was a deleted scene that should have stayed in! It was a short scene that was refered to minutes earlier, but film studios have to mess with movies and their changes rarely make things better
20:03 That was the first genuinely loving gesture in the movie free off a power dynamic or hazing or psychological torture for amusement…and they cut it out of the movie. Tank crew is full of monstrous misogynistic self loathing psychos ruined by the war and the movie gave Norman no reason to fight and die for them.
Ive nevervseen these and this is in my top three favorite movies. The chaos and disorganized push to get the job done is clear. Bunch of units of variousnstrengths and.objectives. The extra background on top i see why it was cut. But it explains his characters cool resolve and skill rallying his men when metal starts flying live or die win or lose, he loses no matter what. You know hes the glue, now i see where he finds his coolness and quick thinking under fire. I agree with the decisions made for theatrical release but these add alot for me. Thanks for uploading this Why do they not prepare some IEDs along the road? I cant recall whats in thevtank after it breaks down, they had shells, nades, willy pete and probably fuel plus that tank would make a good hard point for a barricade. Two men positioned together with enough ammo and the ability to get effective fire ripping into the now scrambling 300 SS less casualties... really depends on the small arms and the ammo count. If the .30 had ammo too and was kept at a fallback position with a clear killzone they mayhave held it, thats my.uninformed uneducated.opinion though.
I don’t mean to be a Gore monger, but I don’t understand the hand grenade scene. Maybe that was why it was deleted. He didn’t have a Stump afterwards and what happened to all the other frag.? I’d appreciate it if somebody would come up with a reply🤷🏻🤙🏼
I can't believe there's not a directors cut to Fury, so many of these great movies miss out on some really important scenes, even just little details like the German women cutting the meat from the dead horse. Kingdom of Heaven's gotta be the best directors cut I've ever seen. The standard versions great, but the directors cut takes it to a whole other level & also makes the movie make so much more sense. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
After seeing the movie and now these deleted scenes. It seems to me that the director of this movie got rid of factual scenes in a effort to glorify war. Just my observation
These seens that were cut would, had they remained, gone a long way in showing that those who survive combat can never really explain that bond to those who have never been in combat to an outsider. It's unexplainable to those who have never experienced it, just as no words need to be said between those of us who have.
I thought it was a good movie, but after watching the deleted scenes, it could have been so much better. It gives a whole new perspective on what Sherman tank crews endured. It costs the US ARMY 4-5 Shermans to knock out a single Tiger or Panther, when the King Tiger entered the combat arena, they were invulnerable to anything we had. Only a direct hit from large caliber artillery, or a direct hit from an aireal bomb could knock one of those out. Fortunately for us, the Gremans were only able to produce less than 1,000 of them.
In many of those deleted scenes Brad acted like he was reading lines that were written on the back of his hand. He really didn't seem to be in the game during alot of it
In the deleted scene when Sargeant Davis was fighting and he said just do your fucking job and top said I guess he did not want to go and Davis said I guess he did not that's my whole life
I thought the scar was a war scar, not a dumb ass drunk tale. Now I understand his wish to die at the last scene and now I feel sorry for his squad that got dragged to the same fate.
