Welcome! My name is Zara and I am Iraqs first ever international dressage rider!! Join me on my journey to the 2026 Asian games and maybe even the LA Olympics!!
Nice horse for novice tests...but considering the calibre of horses, bred specifically for dressage, trained to the highest of standards that Iraq government could buy you , money no object...to give you a real chance to compete at the highest standards. They could afford the best trainers, funding every part of the journey, horses care. Your transitions, pirouettes, extended trot, loose rein walk , unfortunately no matter how hard that horse tries, his confirmation will not allow him to manoeuvre the way top dressage horses do. It's not his fault, that he doesn't have great confirmation as he was made for hunting, not dressage. Hope Iraq government will finance the purchase of a ready made , too grade dressage horse.
Fantastic work ! Yes, I'm also going through "keep leg on" with my baby horse. So easy to drop them but they need that leg on to move forward into the bridle.
@@ZaraMuradDressage I bet ! Looks like it was very good since I could see his shape change and the hindleg come under. He looks great! Yes, so hard to keep that shape on a horse that large !!
My name is Brittny Bocchino. I just started learning how to canter, and my question is when you canter to the right, the outside leg goes behind the girth, and the inside leg stays at the girth?
looking forward to try this, I have been trying to sit still and just bouncing and feeling like im going to fall off and it has been uncomfortable. I will try this instead, hoping it works. you explained very well
Thanks that makes perfect sense scoop!! With the left leg as it comes back to scoop. Well, to tell you the truth , now I see why us girls like riding lol!! 🎉
Some of the very best trainers use a double bridle -- notice the shanks on the curb hey are nearly vertical meaning that she's hardly using the curb- so don't be judgemental. best Bruce Peek
This is the most helpful video ever about cantering! This made great improvement and i'm very happy. Thank you! Do you think you could do a video of landing on the correct lead off of a jump? If so that would be amazing!❤
So good to see you both back out there! Leggy was amazing, you must be so thrilled with him. And a win! What a shame you were feeling ill, it must have taken the edge off a wonderful weekend. But WELL DONE!
So, so sorry about Saffie, absolutely devastated for you 💔 Glad to hear Leggy the Legend is sound again 🧡 Aurora looks gorgeous! And those flicky toes!! 😍💛
I’m so happy you’re back and that you’ve healed! I also have bad reflux. I’m not ready for surgery. I’m sorry for your loss. We’re here for you! Take care of yourself! Sending you lots of love from NYC, United States! ❤❤❤
I learned how to post trot on the outside shoulder going forward by reading Saddle Club books as a pre teen! Lol. Those books were seriously educational! It makes a lot of sense since the weight you are sitting down for should be on the "inner edge" of the horse, kind of like skating, on skates with edges - where you put pressure, you will turn in that direction, more weight is on the inner leg rather than outer leg.
Hi Zara i am Natasha a para rider from Hong kong. i rode horses for 20 years still can’t get my trot diagonal right all the time sometimes i can feel the right diagonal is more comfortable and smooth.
The way you effortlessly switched and stick to the seat is definitely impressive..... My biggest problem is I find it hard to stick to the seat without tensing up my body and sitting trot is especially hard
Good video, but I notice your left leg is turned out and causing your spur to continuously poke the side of your horse at canter. Was that your intent? Why not try pointing your toes towards the horse's shoulder thus making sure the spur doesn't inadvertently poke the horse's side.
