You're such a nice person. These videos have been making me some company while I study for finals. I hope you're ok and I wish to see you back with more videos
You're too slow at delivering. You pull up where your risk assessment says unload and go. Don't stand in the queue with customers (you're not a customer) hand the staff member the manifest to sign, go back to the truck and start unloading. You spent way too much time faffing about, member of the public comes needing to use air and you're in the delivery point, they'll have to wait or go to another petrol station. You have a 12 hour planned route, messing around as you are in this clip quickly turns it into a 15 hour shift. Even more so important if you make collections at your drops. You probably spent over an hour at this one drop to deliver three cages. This is a 10-15 minute delivery for an experienced driver. If you was on my London routes you'll be getting rescued or sleeping out with this unloading style. But of course it's inexperience and being too nice and messing around moving the truck. You would have been no impact to the air guy if you just loaded & unloaded quickly. You're checking the cage label too much as well, check it once as you load it onto the lift. You're then sure you have right cages and go. Don't rely on a non driver to guide you into positions either, he clearly couldn't fathom your truck would hit the canopy. You can't speed up the driving when it comes to HGV's (although a lot of idiots do attempt, hence the M6 northbound and M40 closures in recent days!) but you can very easily shave loads of time off at a delivery, just by being organised and moving quickly. Moving the truck here made zero difference in reality. In fact it would have been better in position #1 as it was a straight line into the store door with a nice run up with clear visibility of any cars maneuvering out of the station.
I went from HGV Class 2 back down to 3.5T = the best choice I ever made... The amount of stress you get with HGVs is just not worth it. I'm now doing parcels in a van, love it! It's easier and no headaches. These youngsters have no Idea how easy Van Driving jobs are compared to HGV.
It is very funny that they talked about the Dacians here as if they were your ancestors, but the reality is that there are currently 0, i.e. zero genetic results available, which would come from archaeologically verified Dacian finds. Shouldn't you first examine one or two Dacian bones and compare them with those of today's Romanians before you reveal yourself here? I am sure that there would be great surprises as to who the Dacians were and who are their descendants today. You Romanians are very behind in archaeogenbetic research... Where are the Dacian results?
Awesome to see you drive in my home town! Lucky you didn't catch the St John's Uni area at rush hour, it's an absolute car park! I'll be hitting York roads in an hour for a driving lesson. ;)
I have never worked for bookers, just been there with agency for few weeks. It depends how busy they get and depends on the customers and how many people they have there. Sometimes people are in holiday or in sick so you never know all this details.
I’m a class 1 driver from Scotland. Stumbled across your channel about a hour ago been sitting watching a few of your vids. Very enjoyable. Subscribed. Keep truckin 🛻
