Hey bud. I currently run a 500 watt e bike for hunting. For the most part it’s great but struggles on hills. Anyway as I’m looking for something to replace my “starter” bike I have learned a few things. This bike meets almost all what I require other then the step through design. However it does have a lower frame so my question is. Is it easy to step over the frame or do you find yourself still throwing your leg over the seat ultimately kicking anything on the rear rack?
All the time!!! I throw my leg over and knock crap off all the time. This is just another account but I’m the owner of the bike and channel. The bike held up for turkey season and it did great even better than deer season
Bike is still perfect! Definitely better for turkey hunting than deer do to the weather conditions. It’s been a great bike I’m close to 1500 miles on the bike and it’s still perfect. This is my other account I kinda forgot about this video. But it’s still great
Appreciate the" review. I run in the mountains of Northeastern Oregon, mountainous, road can be somewhat rocky, and I'm a bigger guy 6'6" 250, sounds like a nice bike by maybe not for my country. Do you have additional thoughts about country like mine and this bike?
lol your gonna have to spend some money!! You’re gonna need a real bike out there. The x hunter has been great for me but I wouldn’t wanna take it out there. When I made the review it had about 97 miles on it. Now I have close to 1500 still great and running good
Lithium Ion batteries simply don't work once they drop below 40 deg. That's the problem you're running into and something all hunters should be aware of. Glad to hear that simply insulating it has been sufficient for you
Lmk in a month. I got mines just a week ago and it's far from what's advertised. Don't waste your money folks. Its advertised to go 30mph max and go 70 miles on one charge. But in reality it died in less than 50 miles and can only go 21 mph max. It's been less than a week and after charging it the first time, it doesn't hold its charge no further than 3-4 miles. Don't get scammed folks.
You might need to go into your settings on the lcd screen and change a few things. P08 is your speed. P03 is your voltage range. I set my bike too 100 and now it does 28+. And I play with 36v and 48v. I road 12 miles but it was through some nasty mud and terrain. The bike got down to 2 bars. But I was really pushing it hard.
All e-bikes advertised max range is the distance on the lowest pedal assist mode pedaling the whole time. Same goes for max speed; there's legal regulations where the max speed is lower when you are not pedaling vs when you are pedaling, so you need to pedal to reach the max speed, or change the settings as he suggested in the video and his reply
I appreciate it! Yea it’s been a great set up. Still working on getting some more gear but I have been real happy with it so far. Hope all is well for you and yours.
I have a beautiful piece of Ozark pasture that is about 40 acres in flat workable land. What would you suggest as a good mixture of seed? I was thinking rye, winter wheat and maybe oats. In the spring I was thinking soybeans and corn. Or maybe 12 rows of soybeans and corn then 12 rows of fall foot plot.
If you go and watch Jeff sturgis on what to plant he will do a really good job explaining what to plant and how. I’m actually gonna follow him this next year and go with his advice.
I can't speak for the Prime Nexus 2. I never shot it. But I'm telling you this Inline 3 is just a great shooting bow. I really enjoy shooting for sure. Super forgiving and an absolute tack driver
@@AntlerDownTV heck yeah! So do you hear the Sony fx30 is supposed to come out this month. It’s a apc crop sensor cinema camera. Supposed to be like the fx3 baby brother! Idk if you geek out over camera like I do but I figured I’d tell ya . Have a good day man and keep killing the videos. I told my dad about your channel his a big hunter.
When you stopped selling Mossy Oak you lost this customer!!!!!!!!! I live 3 miles from the Bass Pro in Duluth, Ga and have not set foot in that store in years because of this.
There is still a lot of great hunting gear. I know how people can be very loyal to a camo and understand. I have been there but true timber is a great pattern for sure. I would consider checking out the calls and stuff. There are some great deals!
I’m not sure yet if I will really use it. Going to keep playing with it and see how well it works in thicker cover. Also it seems to move sometimes pretty fast so that might be some unwanted movement.. but only time will tell
BPS lost a lot of customers when they decided to go cheap and not use Mossy Oak or Realtree in their products anymore. Not a fan of True Timber. Nomad MG vest is my favorite.
That's how I felt at first but after really using and looking into the true timber line up and having success with it I have been very happy. The quality is still there in the materials. I think it was more of a cost to stay with real tree and mossy oak. Also you are correct that Nomad vest is sweet!! TrueTimber is a very good camo. I guess it just comes down to what people like. As long as people are hunting idc what camo they wear. Good luck this year!
I’d like to see a better demonstration of how that speedseat works. I still haven’t figured out exactly how it’s supposed to be positioned when walking.
I appreciate it buddy. We are about to do some reviews inside bass pro shops of products that are available in the store. If you got anything on your mind that you would like to get a look at be sure to comment it buddy.
Heck yea! Lots and lots of deer there for sure! Hope y’all the best of luck this year! We got a lot of new stuff going on so I’m not sure how much content we will have this year but we will give it our best
I didn’t shoot a deer with them. But the 4 blade fixed did great! We actually switched this year to sik broadheads. Excited to see how they do! They fly really good!!
Good video. The Triax is pretty good too. I own a Triax and Hyperforce. The Triax is so dang quiet that it makes my Hyperforce seem too loud. Would you recommend trading a Hyperforce for the Halon 32? Seems like you really like the Halon 32 and I'm thinking it's probably still has many advantages over even the Triax.
I got the Halon32 5. My previous bow was a EdgeSB-1. Two drastically different bows. 7 inch brace height down to 5. I can tell you that a 5 inch brace height will reflect some of your inconsistencies when shooting. And for hunting this could be bad maybe. It shd not even be an issue cuz we shd be laying down lots of practice before hand anyways. But I will say, that 5 inch brace height made me put more disciplined form into shooting, and after some time you’ll appreciate the extra performance coming out of the halon32 5 as opposed to the 6 and 7. Cuz it’s rippin fast. I got an arrow setup over 500 grains and they shoot like laser beams it’s ridiculous fast.
I was also in the shop over the weekend and got a chance to look over the VXR. It’s incredible. There a rack of used bows. Lots of Hoyt hyperforce and RX1 and a helix. From what I understand all them guys traded in those for a new VXR or Vertix.
Appreciate it. It’s crazy that the video was made three years ago and I’m just now getting back with ya. Since then I have had the v3x and I’m still convinced the Halon 32 was one of my most favorite.
Take the music out. Video is ruined with music that drowns out the sounds of the turkey and woods. Just my opinion. Avid turkey hunter who enjoys the sounds of spitting drumming yelps and gobbles. Video would have been great with out the music
Thank you! We will definitely look at that more. Unfortunately that bird wasn’t real vocal at all. But for the future we will make sure to do that. Thank you again
hammer95diesel its a Halon 32 6in brace height, a Rocky Mountain driver Sight, 7in fuse stabilizer, not sure what the rest is. It’s a prototype. Can’t release the name yet.
I sold my halon 6 and now I'm feeling the need for another halon. Depending on what Mathews comes out with this year I might grab a 32 for 3d.. if it's any more accurate than the h6, I will do fairly good next year on the 3d course
Man this bow is quiet and especially for a bow that can put down some speed. I have a Mathews Helim which I LOVE but if there was a bow I would get rid of it for the Halon 32 would be it.
AntlerDown TV with Sam and Kasey Yeah man I love the Helim and will probably try to get another 3 seasons or so out of it... I just can't get over how quiet the Halon is for how fast it can put em down range.... Bows cost too much now days lol, gotta make my last!!! Get some new strings and a tune next year and it should be good as new. Good Luck with it this season.
AntlerDown TV with Sam and Kasey Well if you wanna kick it "old school" by today's terms I got a blacked out Helim that slings darts haha..... Its crazy, when I bought it I think Hoyt was like the only company to have a bow than ran just over $1,000 for bare bow. Now it's the norm it seems.
I just bought a Matthews Mission Craze 1 and need to tune it a bit but other than that I love it as a starter bow. But with opening day getting close what broad head would you recommend?
Toadz TV awesome man congrats. And yea I know what your saying! Deer season is fast approaching!! I really love shooting the wacem four blade. I'm more of a cut on contact than expandable. But just do your research and watch a few vids and pick what you feel will give you the most success
AntlerDown TV with Sam and Kasey I like your guy's videos I sure would like to meet you guy's and come down and hunt with you guys and at least I said something nice about your wife unlike some other people would say I hope your not upset about what I said
