Buy all the gold and silver one can afford... after you have a couple years of food, medicine, ways to stay warm, cook, filter water, and several boxes of barter items. AND.. practice using your survival gear, cooking over a fire, doing medical drills, security drills etc. When things actually happen, you won't have time to learn.

Hopefully you and JB will be able to meet up with Patara. She seems like a nice lady. I have friends in Tennessee who say they keep a 12-gauge by the front door. I thought that was pretty typical for that part of the country so my guess is that Patara and her husband have that covered lol.
I hope Jeremiah moves soon too. I think people get frustrated with Jeremiah talking so much because they KNOW that he has more than enough money to move at the drop of a hat, and so if he wanted to go, he could just pick up and go and buy pretty much whatever he wants. Instead, he's waiting and fretting over timing, prices, etc... For the average person who isn't in his same position and doesn't have that kind of freedom, they just get tired and fed up hearing the back & forth, which just comes across as whining, in a certain sense. Jeremiah is perfectly with in his rights to not want to take a loss or buy at a disadvantageous price point, but his audience is made up average people, 90%+ of which don't have the luxury of making the kinds of choices he can make. You can call that envy or jealousy if you like, but it's more like watching a rich person blow up over a $50 parking ticket. I'm not suggesting that Jeremiah is insanely wealthy either. He's just better off than 90%+ of the people he's talking to, and saying something repeatedly that you have the total power and resources to do while dilly dallying in the process for reasons that others can only dream about just gets old. It's not personal...at least not from most of the people I've seen say something about it. They're just tired and the talk is just worn to the bone. You and Jeremiah both are good honest guys, so there aren't a lot of reasons for people to leave truly negative comments. Constructive criticism maybe but not negative comments. You're right though, people need to start measuring their wealth in ounces, and time is increasingly short. On a side note, it wouldn't be a bad idea to also measure your wealth in numbers of meals and number of rounds of ammunition you have. These are all measures to one degree or another, depending upon where you live. Take care! I hope you and Jeremiah are successful at getting him set up!
Trust me I tell him he needs to just go until I’m blue in the face. It does get frustrating. I get it and ultimately it’s his decision. I really think he is going to pull the trigger this year. I stack silver and gold because I don't trust the banks/system. I keep enough dollars in the bank in a certain range to pay bills and a small emergency. Other that that, the "overflow" goes into metals. Real wealth and money will be measured in ounces and acres. Lots of love TS and JB from Houston.

I'm familiar with Old Bloke. The guy posts useless comments. I'd encourage anyone who sees one of his comments to comment back and bust his balls. The comment from the individual who said he'd be broke if he plowed $5k into silver is an interesting one. He definitely wouldn't be broke if he did that but would certainly be better off by plowing half of that money into silver so he has a bit of flexibility for things like food and gear (you want to be able to burn dollars on acquiring essentials while you still can, rather than trading out of silver and into essentials). Funny thing is, I know people in the southern part of this country who have hundreds of thousands of dollars sitting in bank accounts. That's their only other holding, other than their homes and vehicles, which they own outright. They are simple people who, if a monkey in a suit were to tell them that their money is safe in a bank because it's insured, would go on their merry way like there's no problem. They're going to be the first ones who get destroyed when this thing goes where it's going to go. Onto martial arts. I'm a fourth degree in American Kenpo. I've trained in Jiu-Jitsu (which I do like) as well as Muay Thai (which I like even more). The most important lesson I've learned from Jiu-Jitsu is how to get back to my feet without leaving my head hanging out over my feet (kill box position). Most fights do end up on the ground, but you do not want to stay there. And there is almost always a crowd standing around a fight. Once it becomes a grappling exchange on the ground, the jackals come out of the crowd and jump in. Now it's an ambush attack, where the last place you want to be is on the ground. Final thought on martial arts. The President of Russia wears an 8th degree Black Belt in both judo and karate, as well as a Master of Sport Black Belt (Master of Sport is Black Belt level in Russian martial arts) in Combat Sambo. The President of the US wears Depends. Explains a lot of things/

It is amazing how fast the dollar is losing its purchasing power and people do not realize it. It is nothing to spend $100'ssss of dollars to buy such few groceries. Soon, dollars will be, more like hot potatoes. Just in a few years, the dollar has about half the purchasing power. Very dirty shirt in a very dirty laundry basket of currencies. Metals going up.

There might be better investments out there, but there's probably no easier passive long term off-grid wealth preservation than gold and silver. You hold it, it doesn't require anything electronic, and it's been true money for thousands of years. Gold is probably the best, it's more compact, but it's not as satisfying getting a quarter ounce of gold as it is 20oz of silver.
