Regarding to "Don't delet the chat" Ever since I found out why Brave constantly delogs (outlogs) me from ChatGPT it's because of the 3rd party cookie system, so you might want to allow that aswell. It's under the browser option of Brave named "Secruity"
so... let me get this straight, you got the content for this video from what chat gpt generated for you instead of making some ideas up yourself. How original
The channel is teaching people how to use ChatGPT to enhance their games or remove some of the drudgery out of planning. Sorry if you were mislead at all. The value is in the prompts.
Thank you for starting this series. At first, I was planning on doing a military/spy fiction world, but you inspired me to create a fantasy world. I have no experience with D&D, so this will be an adventure.
This was a cool idea! I rarely think to ask AI what it thinks it would need to generate some content I want. A suggestion for a future video: I currently am creating factions for my world and am wanting to come up with cool motivations for these groups. What do they want? And how are they going to achieve that? I think those questions are really what can make a faction - or an NPC for that matter - really come to life and feel 3D and engaging. It also helps me roleplay them if I know what they want and helps the world feel real if I can have factions or NPCs in the background trying to accomplish their goals. Anyway, I was planning on asking ChatGPT for help with this but think it'd be a cool video for you to make in the future too. 🙂
4:33 Can you please explain the difference between using and not using what you call "contact prompt"? I do not understand the use, the difference and what you can achieve with it...I am genuinely curious
It's "content" maybe that's the misunderstanding? Basically I'm telling it that I absolutely want that particular thing to be in the image. This concept is deprecated I believe. This page is probably the best to learn the way midjourney wants to be prompted going forward docs.midjourney.com/docs/prompts
I think it's absolutely ok that you use AI to create some parts of your videos 😇 The whole point is that we don't need to think for a prompt ourselves and can follow your guidance 🙏
Nice tips. I'm trying to get ChatGPT to accurately reproduce and then key a dungeon map. Seems it's not ready for that just yet. I'd appreciate any tips anybody has about how to do that. I've got it writing the text parts REAL well - just like any D&D module you might find anywhere, but good luck getting it to the draw the maps, much less key them. The video presents a nice enough work around, but it would be so epic if it would also just draw maps based on its encounters. Hell, it tells me it understands and summarizes perfectly well how dungeon maps ought to work, their purpose, everything --- fidelity with text encounter descriptions, the usefulness of keyed maps to the DM . . . everything. It simply will not copy a map, and I can't even get it to reproduce a clone or copy of the same map . . . I think it just can't do it yet.
I totally agree. It's just not there yet, especially on the keys. I have a lot of trouble with this. Even getting it to make a dungeon map without keys is tough, it's like it wants to put words, but damned if it will be real ones!
Very creative, you should do more dog walking! Are we at the stage yet where the new voice AIs can take on the role of Super DM, with built in art generation? I love these details but yearn to try them out as a player at the same time.
Nice! I never thought about the type for curse this way, very interesting. I created a cursed magic item for a homebrew of Dragon of icepier peak mission not long ago , I am gonna use this to improve it! BTW, have you ever tried to use "role play" with GPT to make him answer as a dm or a ttrpg game designer?
@@DungeonsAndDrams I haven't tried it yet but it sounds helpful. I was also thinking about your guide about cities & to use gpt to create ambience to reflect it. Have you tried it?
AI is perfect for having your ideas proofread. I use it to all the time to keep my campaigns on track... You can ask it to confirm the dialect, syntax, tone, whatever, all relative to your world. People hear AI and feel some kidn of way, but they don't stop to realize it's like have an expert at your beckon call to make sure you stay on track.
Took me a while to find it again. The dragonborn was fantasy character art, portrait, red dragonborn, talonlike claws with three fingers and a thumb on each hand, red scales on it's head, warrior, blacksmith, exagerated mouth The female dwarf was fantasy character art, female dwarf, Lyra has a stout frame, fiery orange hair tied back in a bun, and calculating hazel eyes. Her skin has a fair complexion with a smattering of freckles.
an enjoyable video and a great tutorial. Other AI videos for me haven't been particularly clear on the actual syntax and then the needed follow up refining the results.
Great images. I would love to play such a module. The only problem, is that I am not much of a swamp fan. What other fantastical terrains can it come up with? The more fantastical, the better. Stuff like sinkholes, stone forests and cenotes.
Very cool. Since i am currently in the progress of building a new campaign setting, I'll definitely give this a try. maybe even use it on some of tzhe stuff that I already made there, to sand off som rough edges ;)
Well, i did run one of my original countries through this prompt and the results were descent. However I did not get any images (probably due to not using ChatGPT Plus)
Just stumbled on your channel and absolutely love it! Binged most of your content! I’ve been using chat GBT to help me run my games, but watching some of your stuff has given me some great ideas and supper thrilled to try some new stuff with the prompts you have given!
@@DungeonsAndDrams I am really enjoying your playlist DMing with AI” so more of what you’re already doing! Maybe something on using AI to create a fantasy kingdom?
Oh cool. AI generated art and writing. Thanks for putting this on my radar so I can tell all my friends to avoid it as well as this channel. And yes, I saw the "ethical AI commitment" statement at the end. It means nothing. DALL-E being opt-out *now* doesn't change its foundations of theft or the theft it perpetuates. You don't "opt-out" of people stealing your belongings. You understand that if a stranger takes your keys, they are a criminal and should be treated as such.
I think you need to go and take yourself for a time out and leave this creator alone. If you are upset then give someone a hug and smile, if you're angry have a coffee and cake and remember life aint that serious bud
I haven't used Fantasy Grounds personally so I'm unsure what their import looks like. I do know that there are plans to expand the export to support multiple VTTs, so it's something that would need to be tried out.
@@mikesmith8012 Hi, we've been looking to Fantasy Grounds this morning to see if we are able to answer directly, but it's not clear if FG permits imports. We want to be completely open and support compatibility with as many systems as possible, and if FG supports formats like jsons from DnDBeyond, then yes we will be compatible.
Absolutely! If you look at my page it should be easy to find. It's called Dungeon Mastering with AI and ChatGPT ru-vid.com/group/PLCkXTLbAejkSgX4KVoko_rVIKJDfi_Mp6
